Everyone with whom we interacted was not just competent and confident, but thorough, patient, and kind. Showed compassion to me and my kitty. The staff and the doctor took the time to explain what was going on with my kitty answered all my questions. They are genuinely concerned. I knew my kitty was in good hands. I knew it was going to be a bit expensive but knowing that their office hours are not 9 to 5 and knowing that The care that was given and they are there for you when you need them it’s worth it for me. I have 8 indoor rescue kitties and would not hesitate to bring them . Allie,my kitty, is still not herself yet, but it’s only been over night , but at least I know nothing serious is wrong and if needed I can call my vet after the holidays. The staff met me at the door and instantly took my cat to the back to start examining her. The doctor talked with me in a very timely manner and updated me on the status of my pet and explained what the course of action was going to be to treat her. I was very pleased with the quality of service that both myself and my pet received. The staff was caring and compassionate and eased my concerns every time I called to check on Sweetie.Review from Nathaniel K.

It is clear that compassion is not a value that EVS of Roanoke holds in any regard. After serving in the US Army reserves for the past six months, and waiting for my civilian job paycheck to catch back up. I had to take my 14 year old dog into EVS, after she collapsed. We knew finances were going to be tight, so we as a family decided to have our dog euthanized. The vet working took it upon herself to do an exam without asking. By doing so we were expected to pay an additional $120 fee on top of the $150 fee for euthanasia. This was money that we were not prepared to pay. In the past we’ve had two other pets euthanized at this facility for $150 and were never charged an additional exam fee. We felt judged for our decision to euthanize and for not having the funds to cover the additional exam fees. This experience was emotionally upsetting and forever tainted my last memories with my dog.Emergency Veterinary & Specialty Services of Roanoke Response
