      Just had my 2013 Altima inspected which failed because of the headlights. Nissan was sued in 2019 because of the deterioration of the lights reflective material. Nissan was then required to replace those headlight assemblies at their cost. The notice they were required to use was a postcard which is legal. However, we either never received the postcard or it was miss sent. I was told that to replace both assemblies would cost $1,500 plus $300 labor to install, $1,800! I then went to other sources and am having them replaced for $765, installed. We have been loyal ********* now SouthenTeam customers for over 34 years. We feel a sense of betrayal as the car passed inspections through 2023 with no notice of the problem by the service people. It is questionable if we will continue using them in the future.

      Southern Team Nissan failed my car's inspection and wanted to charge me $1000 for a power steering pump full replacement. The mechanic I took it to replaced some bushings and a washers, saving me over $900. Furthermore, those parts that the mechanic replaced would not have come with a new power steering unit. So, I would have been charged $1000, and my power steering still would not have been fixed. They then tried to pass all the blame onto me for authorizing the payment, when they're the ones who recommended it! Surely they understand the sway they have in my decisions -- as an authorized dealer of my car, I trust them to know what's best for my car. The point they also made to me was that unless my car had this $1000 fix, it would not pass inspection. The silver lining is that they did offer a refund, with a restocking fee nonetheless, since I'm to blame of course :) So, here's the bottom line: They use scummy tactics to swindle peoples' money for useless fixes, and then they deny all responsibility.

      The vehicle is a 2009 Altima with 191998 miles 1 time visit. Vehicle failed state inspection for power steering leaks. Recommend 3 hoses on Feb 15th total quote with tax $1060.79. Customer paid for parts up front and we did charge a restocking fee of 20%.

      I am so upset had S Team change my oil which they have done since I purchased the car, well took it home noticed oil leaking on driveway. I took it back they said they had fixed it but it still leaked, now they want me to pay 900+ dollars for a new oil pan, offered me a $100 discount, I am going to file a lawsuit and having the car fixed at ********* for 704.00 total Beware of this company they will rip you off.

      During service for a recall repair, I was told that I needed the sensor on my throttle body cleaned for a carbon buildup. My Crosstrek has only 16,000 miles on it. Shame on them!

      We are human, we have over 200 Team Members who do work hard to serve our guests but occasionally we fail to get it right. My photo, name and contact information is on a poster in every Service area just for this type of issue. If one of our Team Members is not following proper service intervals, contact me, please. The only way we can make sure that we consistently take care of our guests the right way is for someone to tell us directly if something is wrong. I apologize for the aggressive selling and I promise you that once we identify the Service Advisor, we will retrain immediately to follow Subaru suggested maintenance intervals. Again, my apologies and hopefully it does not happen again, but if it does, ask for me! David D*****
