I purchased a house 2 years ago that had work done by Foundation Specialist LLC on the foundation walls to stabilize them in 2017, with a 25 year warranty.In the last few weeks, two cracks have appeared in the basement, one on each corner of the 2 walls that were repaired. All but one of the steel beams they installed were loose. Foundation Specialist came out and put some shims in between the existing I-beams and told me they could add another I-beam and steel adjustment brackets. They provided me with a proposal for that work. On page 1 of the proposal it states that there is a 25 year warranty. On page 3 under warranty limitations it reads: (6th line down) Contractor disclaims all warranties in connection with this proposal. I emailed the contractor who **** up the proposal two times with questions about the warranty and the specs and he did not respond. I called the owner of the company, and followed up with an e-mail 3 days later and he also did not respond. I have had 2 contractors I have had 2 other foundation repair companies come in to look at the work and give me proposals. Both companies stated that (1) ********* are not spaced properly, and (2) ********* and supports do not cover the entire wall, so it will not evenly support the wall. They also stated that the way ********* were supported only by wood was not going to hold the wall. The original work was not done correctly. They are not standing by their warranty, and it appears that they are now disclaiming any warranty in new work that they do. They are refusing to respond to me. I have provided more documentation in attachments. I am requesting a refund of the original amount charged by Foundation specialist LLC. I question the legality of stating there is a warranty and then disclaiming the warranty in subsequent pages.
