April is known for spring cleaning and tax season.  Both represent powerful triggers to sort out your documentation, whether it’s on paper or digital.  Better Business Bureau serving West Florida is hosting a “Secure Your ID Day” event that provides free on-site document shredding, electronic recycling and identity theft awareness. 

BBB, along with Cadence Bank and ShredQuick, are offering individuals an opportunity to shred their sensitive documents & recycle their electronics on Friday April 21, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Cadence Bank in Carrollwood located at 11790 N Dale Mabry Hwy Tampa, FL 33618. This event is open to all residents and businesses who will be able to dispose of their documents and electronics safely and securely for FREE.  In addition, resources on how to protect your identity will be provided.

Please bring up to 3 boxes/bags of paper documents that contain information you don’t want in the hands of identity thieves, and we’ll shred it for you on the spot – for FREE!  Documents to be shredded should be removed from binders, but staples and paper clips are acceptable. Please do not tie bags or tape boxes!  We will also accept the following items in regard to electronic recycling: computer monitors, computers, laptops, printers, routers, cell phones, circuit boards, servers, copiers, DVD players, VCR’s, stereos, computer accessories, cables/wires, laptop batteries, battery back-ups and network equipment.  No TV’s just computer electronics.
