I have been with Care animal for a few years I was in awe with them for caring for my fur babies well sadly things were changing and continues to change! Many inconsistencies and lack of communication. I had spoken to manager to express what was happening appointments being made or supposedly then I can to confirm and it wasnt under my pets name it was under another.. I continued to go I got a puppy in Jan *********************************************************************************************************************** which I advised them I believed he had cryptorchidism previously to bringing him in.. they never made an appt to assess they just said no worries we can check day of surgery, well I was correct they took him in for surgery he had 2 incisions one on midline s****** area the other lateral side of abdominal area which I questioned as soon as I saw it! The sutures were not line up he had 2 areas where skin was flapped over .. I didnt even get to speak to the vet to discuss my concerns. A few days later, I started noticing that the area was swelling. I made a follow up appointment because I was worried I went in. They checked the area told me it was nothing to worry about it. They added another medication and told me to keep him calm they never checked his temperature. Never really Assistan just touch the site and told me it was OK well the next day his while I was worse, My gut instincts told me to somewhere else and I did and they confirmed he had an infection, noted by fever and 2 of his sutures ripped off bc of the severe swelling! Please please please advocate for your pets if you feel something is not right get a second opinion Im glad I did! These babies only have us to Protect them!

My dog has been a patient here for more than 7 years, during that time I have ordered Trifexis, mostly online, since he was old enough to take it. My last order, from Chewy was 6 months ago, which Care approved. Now they have a new "policy" that states they can no longer approve prescriptions from online pharmacies due to inconsistent or incorrect medications being sent (which has NEVER happened in my experience.) They direct you to their own "approved" online pharmacy that they also have on their website. On that site the cost for 6 Trifexis is $169.99, significantly more than the other online pharmacies such as Chewy or PetMeds. I believe this is a business practice to force customers to pay higher prices on their site to secure more profit from the medications. This is a very shameful practice if that is the case. There should at least be a price match if you want to do something like this. In fairness, they will give you a paper prescription, but then you have to drive to the office to pick it up and then physically mail that to the online pharmacy, delaying the order significantly.
