Completing the reservation and connecting with the movers works fantastically. But DO NOT change your mind or plans. I called over the Thanksgiving weekend to cancel and was charged a $50 fee. The fee goes up to $200 if a 48 hour notice is given. When I called to explain, the man on phone stated he, "You left a message on..." I told the representative, if this is your policy I will not recommend nor use your service again. I will find a different means of moving. This was for a very small move from one house to another. When I called the movers directly, they understood completely. I will just call them directly next time.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with our short notice cancelation policy.  Our cancelation policy has not changed in over 7 years.  It's clearly explained in our FAQ's, during the online reservation process and in the confirmation email every customer receives upon placing a reservation.  It was the same policy when you placed your reservation and agreed to our Terms and Conditions, meaning you should have been aware of the policy when you placed your reservation.  Either you didn't bother to look at the policy or you didn't think it would apply to you.  Our policy is very generous compared to other moving labor companies.  The policy clearly states if you are canceling your reservation within (7) days of your service date, it's a $50 cancelation fee which is deducted from the deposit you place.  If you cancel within 48 hours of your service date it's up to $200. We have the policies in place to protect our movers from frivolous cancellations that would greatly affect the movers ability to make and keep a tight schedule.  Once you're booked, other customers cannot book for that same date and time.  If we didn't have these policies in place, we'd have a very hard time keeping a working relationship with good, honest, reputable moving companies. The movers would be upset to have customers just cancel at will without some form of compensation.  Please keep in mind we don't want our customers to cancel.  If a customer were to reschedule there is no fee to do so as long as we know by at least the day before. This wasn't a reschedule, this was a short notice cancelation and the same policy applies to every customer that books through **********************.

We are sorry this customer had a bad experience with the movers. According to the Owner of the moving company that serviced this customer. There was a cabinet that did fall down the stairs and fell on top of one of the movers, which happened be the Owner, whom was one of the movers. According to the movers the cabinet weighed over 500 lbs and was not listed by the customer as a heavy item on the work order. Had it been listed correctly, the movers would have requesire a 3 man crew tos service the item safely. The cabinet was not damaged except for a handle that fell off and was put back on by the movers before they left the job. The mover did confirm with us that 5 spindles on the staircase were broken when the cabinet fell but the customer told the movers his brother would be able to replace/repair them. Subsequently the mover that caused the accident was terminated from the moving company. We asked the customer to send in pics of the damages which he declined to do. After the customer found out he wouldn't be receiving the compensation he was looking for, which was full replacement value for all his belongings. He called the police on the moving crew and told them that the owner was harassing him. Movinglabor.com has been working with this mover since 2017. They have a 4.59 out of 5 star rating. We wish this would have been handled differently and that the movers/customer would have been able to see eye to eye but it looks like that won't be the case here. We wish this customer the best of luck.

I hired ABC relocation services through Moving Labor, they did over 20,000 worth of damage to my furniture and stole my hand truck. Moving labor is not helping me to get this resolved.

We are sorry to hear about your experience with ABC Relocation Services. However your claim for damages is not valid Per our damage claim policy. The policy states all damage claims must be reported to the movers prior to them leaving the job site. You are free to inspect your items as they're being handled by the movers. Once the movers depart, they're no longer liable for any damages. The movers have no idea if the damages were there prior to the move, happened during the move, or in the corresponding months after the move. Your move took place back in November of 2020. We were first made aware of the damages in late April 2021. In reference to your dolly. It was mistaken for one of their own and was taken. The Project manager at ABC has informed us he's been in contact with you about the dolly and is trying to make arrangements. From what we were told, you had moved outside of their coverage area so it's a logistical problem for them. We have been in contact with the Project Manager on a daily basis to have that returned to you as soon as possible.

My items were in storage for 5 months so I did not see the damage until the new reputable movers started unloading. The new movers could not believe how they had loaded the storage unit. No one has been at the storage unit since it was loaded. I moved to stewartstown Pa right over the pa line and I also gave them a address in Baldwin Md for my brother in law to return it. Three times they stated they would return the cart and have not. I asked them before they left if they put it in the storage unit abs they said yes. I filed a thief report yesterday with the Harford county sheriffs office and plan to meet with them this week. If they don't want this to happen they should return the cart to the Baldwin md address today. I also spoke to the state's attorney office and I will be taking them to court for the damage to my furniture. He said he has insurance but has not sent meet any insurance information.
