      The Prescription Drug Plan, WellCare Value Script, offered by WellCare Health Plans provides conflicting and misleading information on drug costs. Before enrolling in December, 2023, I used the plan's website to estimate what I could expect my Tier 3 prescription costs to be. Because the costs seemed reasonable, I proceeded to enroll. I did not need to refill my Tier 3 drug prescription until April 18. At that time, using the 'Estimate Drug Costs' tool for the Value Script plan, I found the cost had greatly exceeded the estimate I had gotten back in December: However, the cost at the pharmacy exceeded that. I logged in again after picking up the prescription, just 3 hours later, and found that the website now gave another, three-times higher, cost for the drug. I sought help in understanding this at their phone help line and was told that the discrepancy in drug cost issue would be referred to their website department. I have subsequently logged in again to see how the claim was reported and I find two different descriptions of the claim, depending on how I access 'claim history'. One way keeps me within the wellcare.com website and indicated the plan paid $146.21 toward the prescription. The other way takes me to the express-script.com website, which seems linked somehow to WellCare Value Scripts and it indicates the plan paid $128.83 toward the prescription. Neither value is close to the 75% of the total cost that WellCare advertises the plan will pay for this drug.I regard this Part D prescription drug plan as seriously misleading and will extricate myself from it as soon as possible.

      Beware of Wellcare insurance. I pre-qualified my dental codes with them and they said that they would approve the procedures. After the procedure they refused to pay. Others have had the same experience with them. They changed their contract and are known to reneg on dental procedures. Not an honest company. Find a more reputable company. They are extremely deceptive.

      I regret that I enrolled in the WellCare ******** Rx value plus plan. The associate that enrolled me lied that the medications I am currently taking would be less and the prices are more expensive than my past plans medications prices. As soon as open season gets her I will get out of this plan

      Should be a zero star rating. Today, I tried to access the web portal - it is loading but never loads. After talking to *****, customer service person, she suggested that I use the web portal. ***** could not tell me if an urgent care provider was in the network from the businesses address and phone number I provided for her. There was no way she could possibly help me before or after placing me on a short - long hold. These calls to customer service are often extremely long, almost never helpful, filled with scripted apologies, and language barriers. In November 13, 2023, I had a root canal under WellCare's Envolve Dental. I then scheduled a dental appointment to get my crown within 30 days as recommened by most dentists. I knew this procedure would require pre-authorization, so I called Envolve Dental to set it up. Afterwards, I called my dental office and Envolve continually to check on the authorization status. My dental appointment had to be cancelled because no authorization was given. I last called Envolve Dental on 18 DEC 2023 and spoke with ******* at 1:18PM - there were no prior authorizations at this time. In JAN 2024 I call Envolve Dental, they are no longer with WellCare, now it is DentaQuest. My dentist is not even in this network anymore. Sidebar alert: I called WellCare during Open Enrollment 2023 to make sure all my health care providers would be in network for the new year. The customer service person absolutely could NOT help me with any solid information here. So, I call the DentaQuest number from my new 2024 WellCare card and they tell me there is NO record of my dental history (Root Canal or Authorization Request). There is no continuum of care from one provider to the next. I was discarded by WellCare and Envolve Dental. In JAN 2024, I selected a new dentist from the DentaQuest's network. The next available appointment is in April 2024. This doctor will have to start the process for me to get my crown. WellCare is void of well and care.

      This is for the Prescription Plans Terrible website (frequently offline, web pages that don't work) - for example I just tried to go paperless in the communications preferences and the website just failed. I contacted one of their chat agents and the problem is on their end and they know about the problem. It's been like that for weeks!They recently changed mail-order fulfillment to ExpressScript. Instead of migrating my data, I had to reenter everything, Even had to have my physician reissue each RX.Very poor customer service. I don't need this. Will definitely change at the next open enrollment.

      They changed their *** plan. I get $156 every three months to spend on *** products. IF I could use my WellCare *************** card! I have tried ordering in the app, only to find out EVERYTHING is Out of stock through ******** I finally called WellCare Spendables and had a customer service representative put in my order and she had the same results. She said that I could go to ********** so I tried through their app only to be told that I could not use my WellCare card. I might try going directly to the store (25 miles away), and try it there, but I have doubts. Theres other stores I could try but Ive already spent two hours ton this today. I waited 2 months for a dentist appointment and at the time that I made it, they took WellCare. When I had to change my appointment because the dentist was in surgery, they asked me what insurance I had and I told her. They no longer accept WellCare I wonder why. Im surprised that my doctor still accepts them but that could change! Im looking for a new Advantage plan this year. I had to do a survey for them a couple months ago and I said that I was unhappy with the *** program that theyve changed to. I doubt that it made a difference.

      Yes, this has finally been resolved. I believe the customer service agents need to be trained better as to why I had this particular problem so it can be resolved faster.

      My 86 year old father with dimentia was contacted by a WellCare rep and talked him into signing up for their health care insurance. He already had healthcare insurance and didnt need this. Well he was signed up and family was unaware until the hospital called to cancel an upcoming surgery because the hospital doesnt accept WellCare insurance. This has been a nightmare now trying to communicate with WellCare over this. Weve managed to cancel the WellCare but doesnt take effect until end of month. To make matters worse, someone from WellCare still continues to call my dad on a regular basis to sign him up for insurance. They need to stop targeting the elderly with their phone solicitation. Since we didnt know he had signed up for this hes going to have uncovered medical expenses in the thousands. We will be taking legal action.
