            I am a 58 year old single woman battling cancer whose home was flooded by hurricane ***. I cannot live in my home because it is gutted. I am without a home. On February 23rd 2023 I met with *************************, sales manager, with Happy Home to discuss the work that needed to be done on my home. Shortly after Happy Home had drywall people come out and started to replace some of the drywall. But they did not finish. I called ***** and he said they would come back to finish but had another job they needed to complete that they started before my house. A couple of weeks went by and I called again. The same excuse was made. This went on for some time. Eventually I asked to speak with the owner. I was told he was on vacation. 2 weeks went by and I asked again. I was told he wasnt in the office and he would call me back. He never did. This went on for some time. Eventually ***** admitted that Happy Home bit off more than they could chew and they didnt have enough people to do the work. About 6 months after I hired Happy Home I told them I would not wait anymore and that *** lost thousands of dollars renting a room in my home while living there and I was going to hire other contractors. They in turn sent me an email saying what I owed. I called and asked over and over for a detailed bill and they refused to send me one. I explained that I would not pay without an itemized bill because they did not finish the job. They threatened to send my bill to collections if I didnt send them the money in 30 days and start paying them $100 dollars a week. Because I dont live at my home I dont collect my mail very often. I just recently picked up my mail and received a letter with a copy of the email as well as a certified letter that I need to pick up at the post office. I have included the letter. Would you please help me receive a detailed bill and stop Happy Home from sending what they say I owe to collection when they will not provide a detailed bill?

            We had a kitchen remodel done in Spring of 2019 with custom made cabinets that had to be removed after they were installed due to "bad roll of veneer". They had scratches all over them. They knew this and tried to get away with installing them anyway and hoping I wouldn't notice. They apparently painted over them to hide it instead of replacing the veneer and now it is showing through. I paid a lot of money for these custom made cabinets and should not have to be in this position 3yrs out. The seal around the countertop has cracked and separated and food and water is getting underneath and after 9 months of complaining and them coming out to see for themselves and agreeing it needs to be fixed, nothing has been done They also started a fire on my new ceramic stovetop, that they had just installed, while installing the range hood/fan over the stove. That took hours for me to fix. They tried to put the ceiling and walls up without insulation but my husband called them on it. They said "oh we forgot". I had wallpaper in my hallway and in my front entrance which they ruined, so the wallpaper had to be removed and because I could not get the same to replace it, I needed to paint the walls instead. Some days people who said they were coming never showed or called at all.My experience with them has been frustrating and disappointing to say the least. My kitchen renovation was not cheap, $60,000. To have had all these issues and to still not be resolved is totally unprofessional.
