We were on borrowed time with our unit. It is stressful when a big purchase is not planned or budgeted. After shopping the competitors, we went with AC Today...Not Tomorrow. The company name says it all! Thank you for your honesty, knowing we were not getting ripped off. We are very happy with our choice and cool house!!Review from Paul M

Our recent experience with AC Today was very positive. We had a system about 12 years old in our condo and called one of the big-name companies first. That was a big mistake. The tech spent less than two minutes looking at the system and said that, based on age, it was not worth fixing. Out came the Ipad and the salesman, the same person. When asked what was wrong with our system, we have yet to get an answer to expect it is an old system and needs replacing.We were given a recommendation on AC Today and decided to give them a shot. The tech arrived at our condo and completed an inspection; we were up and running with a few minor adjustments and one small part.After three years, we decided to look into replacing our unit with a new high-energy rating. A salesperson from AC Today came out and showed us and explained our opinions on the new systems available. We also discussed buying or leasing our new unit. Once we decided what best fit our budget, our new system was installed and worked flawlessly. We are delighted with our decision to work with AC Today and have and would recommend them.Review from MICHAEL R

AC Today provides the highest level of quality service. For over 20 years I have used many local companies to install, repair and service my a/c units but AC Today is by far the best ! They have earned my trust over the years and always deliver a superior product. The entire AC Today team is so professional and helpful. All of their technicians are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend AC Today to all my friends and family. They are always on time, courteous, clean and knowledgeable. There is no pressure to buy or replace. In fact, they point out what is possibly going to need replacement soon and put it on a "watch list" and provide an estimate for when it is time to replace a part/system. I have had to utilize their services after hours one time and was 100% satisfied. AC Today really is the best!Review from Nicole B

We had a great experience with AC Today! Our 2 units were 16 years old when we decided to replace them. AC Today gave us a great price and did a great job with the installations. ****** crew was very professional, put down protective mats throughout the house, did a clean finishing job around the units themselves, and vacuumed everything up when they were finished. We were very pleased with the process and our systems haven't had any issues since. We highly recommend.Review from Tim D

Our AC compressor had been making noise for almost a year and so when it finally died we decided to go with a new unit. Chris in sales met with me Monday morning and explained all my options including ways to keep the cost down. I never felt like he was trying to up sell me. I went with his recommendation and so far am very happy with it. The install team arrived at 2pm and we had cold air by 8pm. Ramiro and Alex were polite, professional and very good at what they do! Thanks to them working into the night the job was completed the same day living up to the company name. AC Today is awesome. They show up on time, are reliable, knowledgable, and are dressed professionally. They explain issues in an easy way to understand. They aren't always trying to upsell services or repairs that are not needed. The office staff is friendly and always willing to assist and accommodate our schedule. We have been working with AC Today since the new owners' Howdy and Ray have taken over, we have worked with other local AC companies and have been disappointed, not with AC TODAY! What a scam ! Had them out yesterday 1-19-22 for a repair. I said to the person that set the appointment that I did not want a new system and I did not want them to try and sell me on one, just make the repair. Charged me a service call 99.00, did NOT even service my system ! Quoted me $1,395.00 to install a blower motor, this is a 300.0 part that is PLUG AND PLAY, ( take the old out and put in the new,) a 15 minute install. I was quoted this price probably in hopes that I would let them do the repair rather than go to another company and pay 99.00 again.( they must have thought they saw me coming ) and also that if I didn't they could sell me a new system, which they did try to do upon leaving. They tried harder to sell me a new system than the repair. How can this company justify labor charges of over $1000.00 for a 15 minute job, even if it was a 1 hour job !! The person I spoke with could NOT justify this charge except tp say THAT'S WHAT THEY CHARGE EVERYONE. . If this is the case, A/C Today is taking advantage of a lot of people and ripping them off. They would not return my 99.00 (didn't think they would) they did not care about a horrible review or if I was going to report them for this scam. ( what does this say about a company? ) Companies like this should NOT be able to get away with this !! The only way to stop them is to not use them !!Review from De C

Do not hire this company or do business with them...... On 12/11/2017, I had a brand-new TRANE system (Air Handler, Condensing Unit and a Thermostat) installed by AC Today for $9,314. It came with 10 yr. parts warranty and 12 yr. on coils. Post installation, I had used them on and off for several routine services. In June 2021, I spoke to an employee, Melissa regarding an issue with my AC Unit and explained to her that my Ac Unit seems to be running more than I thought normal. I had also informed her that my TRANE Thermostat (4" Touchscreen) was stuck on 77 degree, even if I lowered it to 74 or 75 degrees. The air would blow cold but the display unit showed 77 degrees. On 06/14/21, an AC Today Tech came to my residence and conducted an inspection of the entire unit. Technician advised that he had found lower than 1lb., of 410A (Refrigerant) per manufacturer's specs but the unit was working the way it should. He recommended a dye treatment to check for a leak in the system which I declined. At the time, I didn't feel the need and I told the Tech that my AC was cooling and had no issues with the system except for the thermostat stuck on displaying to 77 degrees. I even advised him that I had rebooted the thermostat several times but the results were the same.
The Technician even rebooted the thermostat twice and it showed the same (stuck on 77 degrees). He acknowledged the issue and called his office in regards to ordering a new thermostat and told me that the thermostat will be covered under my warranty (10yr parts) but I have to pay $99 (labor fee) to install a new thermostat. I was then advised that Melissa will contact me when the new thermostat will arrive. Few weeks later, the same technician came to my residence in an attempt to install the new thermostat (7" Touchscreen) but realize that it was a wrong model. The Technician apologized for the inconvenience and she will be in touch once the correct part arrives. Months went by and never heard from Melissa or anyone from AC Today, so on 12/13/21 I contacted their office and spoke to Melissa who said she had called several times and left me messages. Melissa said because she did not receive any return calls from me, she had to returned the thermostat. At that time, I informed her that I had not received any voicemail from her office and if she could order the thermostat. She replied by saying "I can order your thermostat but it will cost you $450 to install it. I asked her several times as to why it would cost me $450, even though the thermostat was covered under the warranty (10yr) and I would like to speak to the owner, but she immediately hung up the phone. I called back and explained my concerns regarding the price change and the warranty issue and again asked for the owner's name and his phone number but Melissa refused to give me any contact information. She then advised me that the owner was out of the office and that she will send him an email and he will contact me the next day. I asked Melissa to email me a copy of the invoice for service that was performed on 06/14/21. I opened my email invoice and compared it to the hard-yellow copy that the technician had left on that day. On the email invoice, I noticed that she had added a line for a charge of $450 fee to Install the warranty thermostat which was not discussed by the technician or Melissa at the time on 06/14/21. I even heard her telling the technician that it will be a $99 charge to install the new thermostat.
On 12/14/21, I again contacted Melissa and asked her if she was going to order my TRANE thermostat to which she said "only if you are willing to pay $450 because that is our flat rate to install the thermostat". I then asked her as to why $450 for warranty part installation and what was price of thermostat (part) to which she refused to provide. I asked again to speak to the owner and she said that the owner was out of the office for the next 2 days. I then asked her for the owner's phone number to which she refused and hung up the phone. I called her for the second time and she told me to take my business else ware and refused to provide the owner's number.
I selected AC Today for my new AC system in 2017 because a good friend recommended it to me. If I only knew that an employee was going to be rude and provide a terrible customer service, I would have taken my business elsewhere. There is no information as to who owns the company (AC Today) or the main person (Owner/Manager) of contact on their website to follow up with. I am merely asking for a simple replacement of my thermostat and willing to pay the $99 fee but have been unfairly treated by Melissa who refuses to let a manager or owner correct the issue. There was no issue to begin with, thermostats break and get replaced but customer service cannot lack when you run a business. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in regards to my experience.
