We have using Tri County for about six years now and have nothing but friendly and professional service from everyone we have had contact with from the office personnel to the field techs, from installing new equipment and ductwork to regular routine maintenance. Highly recommended.Review from Belinda H

On 8/23/23 Tri county Air installed a new 2 pole controlled contactor. Since the Lennox unit was still under warranty, I contacted Lennox. They advised that I should go back to Tri county as it was under warranty and they should put in a warranty claim. After 11 phone calls and numerous explanations, I received a credit for $29.00 for a part that I was charged $252.00. I was told that was all Lennox would allow them for the part. I’m aware that labor is my responsibility and that was listed separately for $105.00. Additionally, I was told that one of the owners would call me on 9/1/23. Since I have not heard back from them, they obviously do not want to hear from a former customer.Tri County Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. Response

************,
We went out to your home and encountered your down system. Upon further inspection, we found that you installed your own capacitor and mis-wired it causing the contactor to fail. This voided your warranty on the damaged components and therefore it would have been unethical for us to submit a warranty claim to ******. However, given our desire to take care of you, we still credited back the cost of the part. The $105 charge was for the trip out and the diagnostic, it does not include any of the repair, the other line item included labor for the repair. Additionally, you have been in contact with one of our owners, *************************, who has provided you with this same explanation.

While I appreciate the response from Tri County, they are not responding accurately.1) Yes, I did install my own capacitor and yes, I was told it was installed improperly. However, your technician, ****, told me specifically that it was a good thing the unit did NOT start as it would have caused damage.2) As I was aiding him in the dark by shining a flashlight, he reinstalled the original capacitor to protect my warranty but then never gave me credit for the warranted part.only after I complained to ****** and Tri County did I get any credit. Additionally, I asked **** if I received any credit for being a member, to which he said yes. Only when pressed their owner did I then receive credit for my membership.3) As for discussions with one of the owners, I had one conversation where he tried to explain the charges. Since I received a $29 credit for the $252 charge I asked for him, or another owner to call. I was told on 2 occasions that either **** or **** would call me..neither have returned my call. With this many inaccuracies on the part of ****, and the owners is it any wonder I feel I was taken advantage of?Review from Raymond R

I have a service contract with them, and I called when my A/C started leaking water. They made me wait 1.5 weeks for appointment, and then when the guy came he said the tray was full and the water could not reach drain line due to algae, so he cleaned it, charged me $300, and left. An hour later, it started leaking again. I called and was told someone would come that day, waited around all day and nobody showed up. I called at end of day and rescheduled to morning of next business day. They again have not showed up. I have called twice and they keep giving me the runaround. First call, I was next on list. Next call there were 2 people ahead of me. I asked to talk to manager and was told manager would call me, but I still haven't heard back. Apparently I am not a priority nor is the water damage the unit they installed and have serviced for years. I am out $300, have been a prisoner in my home for 3 days, and now have to find another company to assist.Review from emanuel l

I've had Tri-County for over 12 years now and always highly recommend them and I would still give them hopefully in the future a high rating again. This is the first time I'm giving a low rating. I just had on 8/8/22 my annual maintenance performed on my AC unit. This is the first time I had Andrew who was a very nice fellow and we did have a conversation while he was working. Nothing against him personally, but when he was finished after he did the whole complete check up, I asked him to send me a full itemized statement with the prices listed separately as this time I had a bigger expense adding in UV light kits plus pymt. for the next annual plan included and also gave pymt. with a check. Well, he only sent a general statement along with the work checklist. I finally received the requested type of statement from a Danielle from the office who helped me out a lot. The next thing I only noticed about a week after he was here that he never replaced my piping that he took apart on the outside side of my house for the drain when he was cleaning it out. I manually was able to put the pieces back myself. Then I kept hearing a strange crackling noise in my ceiling where he changed my filter which I never had before. So I just recently checked that and I found that he put the air filter in upside down with the arrows going the wrong way which surprised me as this is something simple to know. Also I noticed, unless this could be the office department's issue, that my check still has not been posted as of today, 8/22! So I am getting concerned about that also. Sorry to have to currently write this about Tri-County as I always had nothing but good service and gave high recommendations in the past. Have no idea what happened this time. Thank you.Review from Jennifer C

Tri county has done our a/c and service since we moved to our house & they are honest and reliable. We just had our annual service with Leroy Miller and highly recommend him. He took the time to explain a lot of the workings of our air conditioner and compressor to us & fixed an electrical surge issue we had with the compressor. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful!Tri County Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. Response

I cannot say enough good things about Tri County Air! I flew into Florida last night to a house with no a/c. The temp was up to 94! I called Tri-Countythey originally installed my system and have 24-hour emergency service. They would have come out late last night to do the repair, but I told them I could wait until today. My first comment is that I spoke with A PERSON when I called to report my issue, even though it was after business hoursthat was a pleasant surprise!
Due to COVID and health issues, my a/c hadn't been serviced in a while, so I expected a major problem and a major bill. Monty, the Tri-County serviceman, arrived at my house early in the afternoon and found the issue in my "air handler." (I didn't even know I had an air handler!) He fixed the problem and gave the system a thorough check-up, even changing my filter. He explained everything he had done, and before he left, he gave me two cookies as a thank you for calling Tri-County! (A cute personal touch!)
This company in general is very professional and responsive. I like that I always can get a person on the phone when I call, that the serviceman calls when he's on his way, that the work is always thorough, that the prices are reasonable (they don't overcharge), and that the service person doesn't leave until he is sure everything is working OK and that all my questions have been answered. This is a great company, and I give them a five-star rating. This happy customer recommends Tri-County Air Conditioning enthusiastically and without hesitation!
