On the Sept, 2022 install date.....several (nice) workers were present....the electrian complained that new wiring would "now' be needed costing extra. CD timely finished the install, including the running of the wires w/o extra cost. On Feb 9, 2023 I contacted CD related to: "lights dimming [harder than usual] when AC started". I sincerely felt that installing a $20 hard start kit would help. CD rep Ms. B. Robinson agreed that a hard start kit was a good idea.Amazon sell the kits at $15-$30 the telephone conversation ended, then Ms. Robinson immediately called back, declaring "error" on her part and that only CD could install the kit, if I installed the kit, the Labor Warranty becomes void however, CD can install the same at a cost exceeding $300. On 02/24/2023 the AC failed requiring a capacitor replacement and the AC began to operate, luckly I had a spare part! Being a Trane owner since early 2010s, my aging former tech sometimes could not live up to his 10 year Labor Warranty promise (60% of the time), but would at least provide me parts with instructions on how to install or wait days in a hot house. That being said because of my quick actions, not only is the AC currently working fine, circumventing the household to suffer "needlessly" in the heat until a tech could come out, perhaps on a Monday (breakdown on Friday night discovered). I contact CD about the above repair in which CD responed that I voided my Labor Warranty (parts remain effective). Furthermore, CD conveyed that no replacement capacitor would be shipped to me, by reason the "public" cannot be provided with AC parts. But, yet the same part sells on Amazon for $20. CD's prohibiting me to install a $20 hard kit concurrently pushing the same device at hundreds of dollars of its actually cost is clearly predatory in nature. Currently I have requested a medation hearing in Tampa crthse for this matter. This could become a long court battle
