Price gouging - Petro charged $4.789 for a gallon of oil (total was $719.79 for 150 gallons). I called and spoke with several different people from Petro. I received a bill for $719.79 for 150 gallons of heating oil ($4.789 / gallon). A neighbor was charged $3.39 a gallon with another company. Back in November 2020, I spoke with **** from the company, we discussed moving to a monthly payment plan along with being on the Ceiling plan so that my price per gallon wouldn't go above $3.00. When I called Petro regarding the price influx, I was told that I was not on a ceiling plan and they offered to discount me $100 to sign a 1 year agreement. I declined as I didnt want to be in contract with them when they aren't offering to resolve the problem. They are unwilling to honor the ceiling plan price even though I am on the plan (no notice came, only the monthly bill). The *** (** *********************************) lists the current price on 1/24/22 at $3.831. At the very least I asked them to honor that price, in which they wouldn't.
