In early September, we reached out to NOVA Express Movers to get a quote to help us move from a town house in Alexandria to a single family home in Springfield. The Sale’s Person was very nice and he followed up multiple times with me to ensure that we will be using their company. On the moving day, the company sent 3 movers with 1 truck. Out of the 3 movers, two were inexperienced. In the process of getting our antique queen-size bed loaded onto the truck, one of the inexperienced movers raised the loading machine without realizing that the edge of the bed was stuck in between the truck and platform. The queen-size bed was significantly damaged. Additionally, the movers also scratched our ceiling, wall, and chipped our staircase for our new house. Immediately after the incident, I contacted the Sales Person and was told that the company’s insurance company will fully resolve the issue. He told us not to worry and all we need to do is to submit a claim. Although my husband and I were very disappointed about the damage (especially the queen bed), we paid the full invoice amount and tipped the movers. Everything was paid in cash. It was a hot day, we felt bad to give the movers any trouble or not to pay them. We understand that incidents do happen and we trusted that the company would properly resolve our claim. Unfortunately we were wrong. Since submitting the claim, we have not received any response from the company. We followed up multiple times with the Sales Person but were told that he doesn’t handle claims. One month has passed, we have not been able to get any help we needed to move forward with the claim. Strange considering how responsive they were before the move when they were looking for our business….If anything goes wrong during the moving, expect this company to lie about fixing any damages they cause and then stop responding. The company’s business conduct is unethical and unacceptable.

The movers arrived right on time and were unbelievable HELPFUL and friendly, above and beyond what was needed. They were efficient, respectful, and TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL. I would definitely use them again in our future move.

The movers were on time, careful, and polite. They worked NON STOP and within few of hours had all our goods packed up for our long distance move. They were anxious with extra cost and did everything they could to remain within the quoted time they gave us. They efficiently showed up on time and everything was in GOOD CONDITION, nothing broken.

Really really bad experience with Nova Express Movers. 1. They arrived late. We were the first window of the day and they still arrived late. 2. There was a fresh smell of weed from the truck. Sure it is legal but doesn't exactly give you confident your stuff will be moved safely. 3. Movers took a really long time to do everything, which would be okay except see below. 4. Stopped to eat a sandwich, but didn't stop the clock. 5. Noticed multiple things were damaged, even after the long time they took to poorly wrap things. Sent a complaint to Anne and she won't respond back with next steps after a week. This seemed a bit like a con. They responded immediately and were super friendly to schedule us then it was all downhill from there. We still have not heard back on our damaged furniture.
