Last January, an insured from this company destroyed my house by dropping a tree that he negligently cut. Their insurance is Donagel, they filed a claim for my case and as of today there is no resolution. Mrs. Emily G****, who is in charge of my claim, has treated me as if I were a criminal, she is a rude and hateful person. She does not want to pay for the repair of the roof, she only wants to give a small portion, subtracting value from what her insured negligently broke, her adjuster went to my house and he made his report and estimate from the ground and at no time did he go up to the roof to Seeing the damage, he only cared to ask where he was going to eat. Mrs. Emily G**** is in charge of sending emails with lies so that I accept her offer. I asked her several times for the name of her superior and she refused to give me that information. This is something that makes me very uncomfortable because they did not offer a safe place where I could go with my children and I had to spend the winter with my Destroyed house and they don't care about anything. I hope that my recommendation helps people not to use this insurance company that is so incompetent.

I filed a claim with Johnson’s Heating for an attic air conditioner that was installed and an important joint for the pipe was installed outside the emergency pan as well as installed touching the attic floor. The joint ended up with a very small crack at the bottom of the fitting and a small leak occurred. Being water of course it runs it path and the end result was damage to my spare bedroom ceiling. I called Johnson’s Heating and they sent out two people to look at the damage as well as the fixed the problem and moved the joint to inside the emergency pan. They told me I should file with my insurance company and I felt that this was no negligence of mine and insisted they file with there insurance company which is Donegal Insurance Group out of Marietta PA 17547. Donegal Insurance sent out a claims representative that came and looked at the situation and was also concerned about that joint being outside the emergency pan. Waiting to hear back from Donegal insurance, in the meantime Johnson’s again came out finished all the repairs (at no charge) to only hear back from Donegal Insurance saying they were Denying my claim. When I asked why, Emily their representative said she could not tell me why nor was she willing to let me review the claim adjusters report. If you are going to deny a claim I feel that you should have to tell the person why. Not only did I have a contractor, another heating/air conditioning company tell me it was an installation problem but even the gentleman from Johnson’s said it was installation. If it wasn’t an installation issue why would the fix it at no charge. Yes, Thank goodness for honest insurance companies, Erie my homeowners covered it but it still cost me my deductible.
