I was very fortunate to have found and contracted with Ed (Atlas Home Inspection) to have my home inspected. I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing a home inspection. Ed’s pricing was competitive, his pre-inspection information was very helpful, and he was prompt and on time for my scheduled appointment. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Ed’s inspection was very detailed and meticulous. He patiently answered my many questions and explained potential solutions and remedies to me in layman’s terms. Ed also noted whether each defect in the home should be addressed immediately, over time, or if it was optional. He promptly prepared the very detailed report and I will be able to use it to prioritize household projects and repairs. I can confidentially say that I learned more about residential dwellings from Ed during his inspection than I have over my last ten years of making home improvements.

Atlas Home Inspection was a pleasure to deal with - easy to schedule, timely, and clear communications, and punctual. Ed was knowledgeable, thorough, and worked with me to augment my understanding. I was having some issues with my roof and getting conflicting reports from the insurance company and roofing contractors. Contacted Ed to get a third party unbiased opinion on the matter and I am glad I did it. Ed's expertise helped me understand exactly what the problem was and that information was key when talking to roofing contractors. I was able to understand my options and best way to move forward repairing the roof. This newly gained knowledge helped me push back to the contractors claiming that I needed a new roof, which I did not, and actually address the problem in hand.ATLAS Home Inspection LLC Response

Great experience getting a home consultation from Ed. He was thorough, he was very obviously very knowledgeable and experienced, he explained things well and didn't rush anything. He made sensible recommendations, including a timeline of urgency for when things should get taken care of by. He also provided captioned photos of the items of concern. Ed, Atlas Home Inspection, performed an excellent inspection of our existing deck. The inspection was thorough, and informative. Ed was professional and so generous sharing his knowledge and recommendations. Ed started by patiently explaining how a deck is properly constructed, braced, and reinforced. The inspection report includes photos of areas that needed attention. The photos and write-ups in the report provide a straight-forward work plan. Ed said that our deck is old yet solid with some relatively minor repairs. During the deck inspection, Ed found a leaky pipe in the crawlspace under the kitchen sink. Bonus…Ed checked out the leak and suggested the proper way to repair the pipe. I highly recommend Ed.ATLAS Home Inspection LLC Response

We had an excellent consultation with Ed! As first time homeowners, we were concerned about some things after being in our home a few months. Ed came and did a thorough walk through and explained everything in great detail. He takes his time to explain things and answer all your questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ed for your home inspection needs. I had heard he was an Arlington expert/legend, and then I learned my realtor used Ed for his own home inspection, but even with those high expectations, they were exceed. For my first home inspection ever, and of an older home at that, I was incredibly nervous about what I could be getting myself into and what issues the house might have. Ed's incredibly thorough inspection put my mind at ease. I genuinely feel I could have paid double the price for the amount of information I got and the time Ed spent looking over the house. He took his time inspecting every inch, nook, and cranny of the house and showing me every detail. He was incredibly patient and explained everything he was doing, and answered all of my many questions. I loved being able to ask Ed how bad XYZ was compared to the houses he's seen, what various repairs could cost, what he wishes people knew. I was also very focused on safety and Ed was extremely thorough explaining what was a safety hazard versus cosmetic.
