Had a heavy-up done by Absolute Electric LLC in September 2020. The warranty was for one year on the labor. On January 11, 2024, I called and spoke to Rob Smith in Service and told him about a rainwater leak that had ended up in my breaker panel inside. Even though this is 3-1/2 years after the work was done, Rob came out the very next day on January 12, 2024, to investigate. He checked the breaker box inside, where the cables entered the house, then went outside checking inside the meter panel. Finding no sign of leaks in the meter panel, Rob felt the most likely place rainwater could have entered was at the weather-head where the aluminum neutral conductor enters the cable sheathing, possibly allowing rainwater to follow the neutral all the way down through the cable sheathing and into the breaker box. The weather-head had been re-mounted by a siding contractor after Absolute had finished their installation. Still, Rob re-mounted it again positioning it for a better drip edge for water runoff and then applied electrical putty around the neutral where it entered the cable sheathing. This being a 3-1/2-year-old job, this was well above and beyond service for any contractor. As an added surprise, he didn't charge me any fee.
