      I was sold a 2019 Acura RDX in April of 2021. I took my vehicle to be serviced for the driver assistance systems that were showing an issue via instrument panel lights. I made an appointment for a diagnostic service at the service center of this dealership. It took them 3 hours to determine why the lights were on on my instrument panel. Side note, my RDX had 37k miles on it and was under 4 years old, so my full manufacture warranty was still valid. The service advisor told me she was ready to speak to me. I walk into her office and she tells me that the radar sensor behind my emblem needed to be realigned. She proceeded to tell me that the calibration would take up to 3 hours of labor. Their labor charge is $165/hour. Then she proceeded to tell me that my warranty was voided because I had a bent bracket on the grille of my RDX and that voided the warranty completely for them to realign the sensor. There was no physical proof that there was a bent bracket to stop them from getting behind the emblem to align the sensor. I left the dealership without them touching my car because I refused to believe my warranty was voided. I left and took my RDX to another local Acura dealership. Professional, friendly, and organized. They immediately took my car to the service garage, put it on their lift and diagnosed the problem in less than 45 minutes. The service advisor then told me that there was no bent bracket to stop them from getting behind the emblem, that my warranty was 100% valid, and that it would take them only 30 minutes to realign the sensor all under my manufacturer warranty. They also gave me a complimentary multi point inspection along with an exterior car wash, The disappointment and betrayal I felt leaving Karen Radley Acura in Woodbridge, VA was upsetting to say the least. Unprofessional, lack of solid communication, and dishonesty has made me decide that I will never be back there for anything regarding my Acura.

      I was sold a 2020 Certified Pre-Owned Acura MDX in March 2023 where it appeared the vehicle was in good condition. They showed me the CPO paperwork and inspection. Drove the car down to Richmond, VA where I lived and noted a vibration coming from the back. Took my vehicle to Crown Acura and they noted that 3 of 4 rotors were worn and the car out of alignment. Had to spend $700 just inside of 5 days of owning the car. Karen Radley CPO process documented the inspection report (passed) for brakes. Crown Acura told me this should have been picked up during the inspection process and could have potentially created a safety issue. After numerous calls to Rudy Walker trying to get some resolution, I had no response. Now trying to pursue resolution through the BBB. My opinion is the Manager that drove this car as a demo, dogged the crap out of the car in an abusing way. I was caught up in their great ratings but you need to look further before doing business with this place.

      I was called into the dealership for an appraisal on my extremely well maintained and garage kept vehicle. I explicitly mentioned that unless they matched or went above CarMax’s offer to not bother contacting me for an appraisal. They said to bring it in and offered me $10,000 less than what the KBB value is. They also test drove the vehicle out in the rain and got the interior dirty, so that’s an extra expense out my pocket. They also contacted me by email almost daily to bring in the vehicle. Save yourself the trouble, do not do business with these people. They will waste your time and theirs as well.

      Customers should be aware of this business' shady business practices. I agreed to a handshake price multiple times, in writing with the salesperson, who indicated that his management had agreed to the price. I took the car to a mechanic to be sure it was in good working order. When I returned to conclude the deal, he raised the price by $1000. In addition to a handshake, the salesman prepared a written offer with the number we agree don that I initialed (though the dealership did not.) I understand that no written contract was signed and that no legal action is in order. But I believe this is a shoddy business practice that should be known.
