From the moment they notified me they were on their way through the time they left, Justin from sales and Dan and Gabe from the hvac installation department provided constant respectfulness and consistent professionalism. All three are assets to the company for impeccable customer service, explaining things thoroughly and competence of their trades. I bought a new gas furnace from Justin and the next day Gabe and Dan removed the old one and installed the new one...leaving my house cleaner than when they arrived. Their attention to detail went above and beyond any other company I have dealt with the past 30 years. All three technicians answered all my questions without judgement or rushing through things. Each were meticulous making sure I understood what to expect AND sent me every detail and promise in writing. All three upheld Snell's rules of conduct published on the website. There were no excuses or surprises...everything was completed exactly as promised. I highly recommend these employees AND Snell as a trustworthy ethical company.Review from Mark B

I have use Snell for a number of years when it was 4 Service Pros. The technicians are very thorough and provide a detailed observation of the systems including pictures,etc. Costs, unfortunately have increased but they offer rebates and discount plus toucan pay over time.Review from Bob C

We got the run around about scheduling our sink repair but it finally got fixed. The company made up for the scheduling problem by contacting me later and refunding our payment. I appreciated the way they handled this problem. I would use them again.Review from Sharon G

Almost every time Snell's technicians come out to visit, they tell us one or more of our systems needs replacement because it was installed improperly or not sized/matched correctly. But they (as a company) have done all the installations that they criticize. We are quickly losing the small amount of trust we had left in their business. Most recently, the technician told us our system is out of warranty. When we asked him to recheck, he said it probably is within warranty based on the manufacture-date sticker on the unit. He promised to check the warranty date. Instead, we received a series of emails quoting expensive services with a note that the warranty date would be checked, but no communication that it was actually checked. Increasingly, this seems like a company only interested in the high margin of selling "service plans" (code for an opportunity for a tech to come out to try to sell a new system) and new systems. This no longer seems like a with qualified and honest service. Very disappointing.Review from Maurice H

CONTINUED: I instructed Caleb to charge me the cost of today’s work and that I wanted a second opinion and Caleb stated he could have charged additional leak checks because it was now 4:00PM and the he had been here all day searching for the leak. I stated how can I be charged additional if your equipment was deemed faulty and the contributed to the inability to find the leak. The Tech stated that he needed to call his supervisor and left and returned and charged me $564.25, I never received an invoice for the charge even though he stated I would get an invoice and estimated costs breakdown to repair. All I received was 2 checklists for heating and cooling. I used Snell for a number of years and never have I experienced a Tech that took over 8 hours for a simple checkup and then a leak check. On March 19, 2022, I had another Technician come to my home and check the AC Condenser Coil with a leak sniffer and stated that the outside coil was in great shape and that there was no leak on it and normally there would be oily stains where a leak was taking place. Then he came in the house and used the same leak sniffer and found a small leak on the inside coil unit of the residence. (The 2 Snell Technicians never used that leak sniffer in the home.) The Technician that I called for a second opinion found the leak on the inside coil unit within 30 minutes mainly because he was checking the outside unit where I was told the bad coil was located. So, if I would have replaced the unit outside and paid $3400, I would have still had a small leak in the inside coil and would have called back for another leak and Freon refill months later and repeated the process and had to pay an additional $3400 for the inside coil repair.I have never had such an unprofessional experience with Snell Heating & Cooling until now, and it’s going to be extremely hard to trust the company again. On Friday March 11, 2022 I had a Snell Heating & Cooling Technician come to my residence to perform a simply Heating inspection that was including in my service plan. The tech named Caleb arrived at 8:15am and started to perform the service. Throughout the service the Caleb instructed me that he had been off for 4 days and this was his first day back and this job was scheduled for 4 hours. Caleb informed me that this was his only slated job for the day but may have an assignment later. During the inspection Caleb talked about an electric filter and asked if I wanted one installed and I stated no. The furnace checked out and the Caleb stated that he would also do the AC inspection and knock both out. Caleb went outside and short time later came back in and stated that all the Freon is out and that he would need to conduct a leak check at $556 and needed my approval and that it would cost $996 for the Freon refill. So, Caleb commenced to on the leak check and then stated that he couldn’t find the leak and needed to braise all the connection over because he believed they could cause the problem. The leak was still not found and it wasn’t fixed. Caleb stated that he didn’t have a leak detector so he reached out to another tech named Jeffery with a leak sniffer. When the second Jeffery T arrived, they did additional testing and learned that Caleb’s equipment was not working properly and couldn’t test pressure correctly. Caleb stated that he believed it was the outside AC Condenser coil that was leaking and that it needed to be replaced at a cost of approximately $3400 and the parts were covered under warranty. I told Caleb that the unit was installed in 2018 and that seemed too expensive, to which Caleb stated due to inflation and the cost of his certifications and training that the going rates. Jeffery stated that the outside coils come prefilled with Freon so it shouldn’t be an extra charge, to which Caleb stated no he has to charge the Freon and stated heReview from Linda W

I have been loyal customer for Snell for more than 15 years. The whole attitude and work ethics changed since last year. And today it is worse. So, I am calling it an end with their technician and back office people's rude attitude, charging without explaining the repair cost. It is really sad to see a good company becoming a place with these creatures.
