I bought a mattress on 7/2/2022. It was a Friday before a holiday. July 3 was day one, Sunday and Monday don't count due to weekend and holiday, Tuesday, July 5 is day 2 and today is day three. I contracted the FTC and was told I have a three day recision period for in store purchases over $25 in the state of Utah regardless of what the store's receipt is. We brought the mattress in a box home and opened it and let it fluff up as the instructions say on our living room floor for 24 hours. After that period we started sleeping on the mattress. It is so hard. The showroom mattress is much softer. The item is described also as a 12" profile, but we measured it and have a photo of it being 10.5" tall. I went into the showroom today and asked for a refund with my receipt. I was told that I'd have to talk to the owner. They said their internet was down, but photocopied my receipt. I told them my complaints and showed the photos of the tag on mattress and the measurement of mattress. I emailed them to *****************. I then left my phone number. Later the owner called me and said no refunds due to COVID. I told her it was within the 3 day period and she said I was being rude. I asked about the 1 year warranty due to the height discrepancy. She said she wouldn't do that. I called Ashley Furniture directly since it was their brand and they said they pass the warranty on to the dealer and they are supposed to honor it. She refuses and asked why I'd do this to a small business and hung up on me. The store claimed that I needed to show them a valid photo which I did and they claimed they can't receive emails and don't bring their cell phone to work. The owner is a liar.
