I signed a contract with this company for a 60 month contract with the agreement that my rate would not go up within the initial term. Unfortunately, my rate increased multiple times over the past 2.5 years. Because they broke the contract (section 13 in the agreement) I wrote and submitted a letter requesting to cancel my services. I received a call from them denying my cancellation and claiming they could increase the rates (which the contact said the could do AFTER the initial term). She insisted I must buy my way out of the contract. When asking the customer service rep to send me a letter stating they were denying my cancellation, she repeatedly avoided my question. Finally she became flustered and told me she would not send a letter. At this point, I terminated the phone call. I will be sending another letter requesting cancellation of services. If the request is not honored again, I will contact the attorney general, as they did not honor the contract they signed. As a side note, *** recently learned the devices they installed at my house were outdated. I also had issues with the devices not working properly- I could not use the two way microphone and the doorbell often stopped working.Review from L’Tanya B

I used these guys for over 5 years. Had numerous issues with the system from time to time.They told me the system I had was being discontinued. They wanted to put in a newer model but I had to sign another 5 year contract. I notified them in December I was cancelling my service with them. They billed me again in January said cancellation required *********************************************** again. Now they just billed my bank account again for February. I have sent e-mails and called twice. They said Monday it would be refunded this week but so far nothing. In my book that is bad business and fraudulent billing. I plan to have my bank try and reverse the charge on my account. I wish I had a way to press charges against them. Dont waste your time and money with them. ****AMP Security, LLC Response

I was rather frustrated with not being able to make either of my monitoring apps work. I contacted the tech support and got Kel as my technician. He was very patient and responsive. He worked through the issue with my door lock and gave me information for the Customer Support for the other app. I really appreciated how helpful he was.AMP Security, LLC Response

The worst security system ever. They told me one thing then changed it on me. They got me to sign up for solar but never installed it. They never installed my camera. They never gave me the discount they promised and their fees keep going up.AMP Security, LLC Response

The absolute worst home security system I've ever had, and I've had Brinks and ADT. Their sales reps lie to you to get you to sign a contract. They do a bait and switch - show you one thing and have you sign another on their tablet. I was happy with ADT and their rep came to my house two days in a row trying to get me to sign up. What finally got me to sign up was she stated I would get a $5 a month reduction in my monthly bill for 5 years. That was a lie. It has gone up every year since I got the service. Their equipment isn't very good and their application isn't that great. When I first signed up, there was no monthly limit on uploads. After the first year, there was a limit and since I live on a busy street, I was maxing out my limit halfway through. So, I changed the calibration through the app to only show people walking on the sidewalk in front of my house; it doesn't even go to the street at all, yet it keeps capturing street traffic. The doorbell camera hasn't worked consistently since it was installed, and it has been replaced twice. I was told I could purchase a newer model - nevermind it was a newly installed system. Also, the outdoor cameras will stop working, making it hard to see what's happening when there is a trigger. It's not because of the internet because I don't have issues with other devices in the same location. And if I want to cancel my service, I have to pay over $1000! I'm already paying almost double what I was paying ADT for a subpar sevice. Avoid this company at all cost. There really shoudl be a class action lawsuit where people can get out of these ridiculous contracts. I wish I could give it a zero star rating.AMP Security, LLC Response

Additionally, we conduct quality assurance phone surveys and provide copies of all signed agreements to our customers on the day of the sale. A 3-day right of recision is supplied as well.
