This company is harassing me with phone calls letters about a line of credit that I never opened. They sent me a bogus dispute letter,I sent it back disputing the debt. I think they are a scam type company, my information was leaked on the dark web,they sent me a computer generated promissory not that I never signed or open an account. I never took out a $2500. Line of credit with these people. I think they are a scammer type of company preying on people who information perhaps was stolen.Business Response

I never opened a line of credit,this company need to show me transactions that I allegedly made. I will take civil actions against them if this harassment continues. I am asking them to cease and desist all contact with me,if they want to take me to court for this fraudulent case,thats their right. This is not my debt.

I want dispute Collection Associates claim that I owe a debt from a now close payday loan for ****** in which they are trying to charge me over ******* dollars for. I asked that the information be sent to me regarding this matter and ***, of Collections Associates sent an email and when I opened it on my phone It was too small for me to read and I closed it to go to my computer the email disappeared and is nowhere to be found in my mail. I feel Collection Associates are being deceptive and predatory and have negatively impacted my credit report by reporting I owe a debt to them and resulting in my ability to obtain a loan thru my credit union. I want this negative report removed from my credit report if, they will not and can not prove I owe this debt to them.Business Response

On June 30, 2023 we received a notice from Collection Associates, *** that they were attempting to collect a debt from a February 20, 2020 surgery. They claim to be filing on behalf of National Durable Medical in the amount of $3495.00. They also stated that the surgical center filed the insurance claim on behalf of durable medical. I have never received any bill from this company. I contacted the insurance company and was informed that the claim was submitted. I contacted the surgical center and was informed the account shows a ZERO balance. I emailed a copy of the zero balance surgical center receipt to Collection Associates, LTD. On July 26, 2023 Collection Associates, *** mailed another letter asking for payment in the amount of $3495 and enclosed 2 forms from 2 different medical device companies, Midwest Medical and National Durable Medical. Neither phone numbers listed on the statements for Midwest Medical and National Durable Medical are valid phone numbers. I contacted Collection Associates *** and was informed that the statement from the surgical center showing a ZERO balance was not enough information. This surgery was on my husband, the surgical center and insurance company both asked to speak with my husband before discussing any information. Collection Associates, *** never asked for my husbands permission. I feel this company is a SCAM, especially since I can not get in contact with the company that we supposedly owe.Business Response

On July 25, 2023 I received a debt collection letter from Collections Associates *** which is identical to another complaint listed here on the BBB site on 7/11/23. Same companies claiming we have an unresolved debt and for the same $5995 amount. Coincidence or scamdefinitely sounds like a scam.Business Response
