sent gold in and felt the appraisal was to low and that the weight they were quoting was off by a good bit my 2 scales and 2 different **** shop scales say different was already offered more by 2 local **** shops received email offer and in the email it stated 72 hours to respond to offer or payment would be sent to preferred payout option and that to accept the offer reply to email so we called called called left a message called finally about 4 days and a weekend after the offer was sent i emailed and received an email that they already called and i missed it and that i have been calling outside of business hours which i know is bs (i know 3-4 hour difference from ******* and **********) call logs don't lie so i called again then to my surprise i get an answer so my husband talked to the gentleman who states he received our package with 8 smaller bags inside he adds he does not buy filled gold so theres 1.5 grams there of 10k gold filled ring to subtract and that one other bag of broken necklaces was not real which tested real at the **** shops my husband said well that bag of necklaces only weighed 1.7 with bag 1.5 without so 3 grams of not accepted material so now my husband is trying to figure out why were only being paid for 4.6 grams 10k, and 14.1 grams 14k when all the gold on 4 different scales weighed 28.7 grams he asked the guy where is the other 7 grams of 14k gold at and that he didn't accept the offer could the gold be shipped back the guy replied yes well days later we receive a deposit for $444 28.7 grams gold only weight when shipped ***** grams 14k gold -4.6 grams 10k gold -3 grams supposedly fake =7 soBusiness Response

The customer has accepted both the offer and the payment. According to our company policy, the customer is required to respond to our offer within 72 hours. If no response is received within that timeframe, the offer is automatically accepted. This policy was followed in this instance, and the customer was informed of it. After my mother died, I had to have cash for bills. I Contacted this company, see if they could help me out. When I got my information, this was the tracking #: ************, Kit # *****. I went through some old jewelry, rings, necklaces, hair pin, studs, solid gold statue of liberty, coins, silver, etc. I have NEVER received a message, so I waited. Still NEVER heard nothing, it's been 5 to 6 months now. I either want to item's back or pay me, I been waiting for several months. I know they got it, the package had insurance on it. I like to know what's going on and why they have NOT paid me for the item's.Business Response

this company, GOLD FOR **** had sent me from them in *********, **********, a federal express envelope for me to send the envelope back to them with my valuables. I sent them my precious valuables, including 18 carat gold earrings, and jewelry covered with diamond chips. They said that they would compensate me, as they advertised all over the place that their business would. They said that they had gotten them but were worthless. So worthless that I couldnt get my precious jewelry back from them when I asked them to. They Even told me a bunch of lies about the quality of the merchandise I sent and said that they sent 2 packages back to me via the post office (when I only sent then one package). They said to contact the post office and get $100.00 from them for losing it. These people are liars, and in my opinion, thieves. We have returned *****'s items back to her.
She sent us her items for appraisal. Upon appraisal we did not find any gold or silver items and emailed her back saying we can't buy her jewelry because there is no gold nor silver. In the email We've asked her if she wants it back - "please let us know." That is a normal procedure. After that email we did not hear from her. We've emailed once more a week later and still no reply. Turns out, ***** changed her contact email in the middle of the transaction and email she provided earlier was not valid anymore. ***** confirmed it. All emails we've sent her did not reach her. We were reach her after the complaint and arranged to send her items back to her. The package is on the way to ***** and she will get it in 3 business days from today. The issue was due to the lack of communication because customer changed her email and did not have access to her old email - the one she provided when she started the transaction.

Dear BBB. Thank you for responding to me, and I appreciate your efforts. It was Tuesday, May 5 when they called, and promised to return my precious merchandise.Since they said 3 business days, and since this is the third business day, from the conversation, I should be getting my beloved merchandise back by Monday, or possibly even this afternoon, Saturday, the 9th. My jewlery means the world to me and the only reason I attempted to sell them those things was to settle with a hospital where I had been sick at recently. I have no bad feelings, as long as I get all of my merchandise that I sent to them returned. I learned to never send valuable merchandise to ANYBODY ever again. They offered to buy my old jewelry. I sent it in to them. I never heard back from them. I tracked my pkg and they had received it on 8-2-2023. I called them on 8-8-23 and was told no sale and they would send my items back. As of yet I haven't received them.Business Response

We contacted the customer *********************** and let them know that we will send their items back.
A little bit of context:
**** mailed in her stuff for appraisal and once we appraised it we emailed her letting her know that her items dont contain any precious metals and we are not interested in it. We never heard back anything from her after that. Usually if people would like their items back, they just ask to ship it back. In this case the customer didn't say anything.
