I purchased my home last year and the majority of my neighborhood was built within this time frame.Recent feedback from our pebble creek community page on FB for homes built by MTT Homes has an increased volume in complaints for setting up our 1 year warranty inspection for negligence in response to our request and delaying the process. Most recently, I encountered an unfortunate event. I attempted to drill a hole through a stud in my sons upstairs bedroom to hang some wall anchors for the safety of securing furniture to the wall and I drilled through a water pipe that runs through the stud. During the $900 recovery action, I hired rotorooter to cut an access hole in my wall and this revealed that a protective plate was not installed over the studs to prevent a drill bit from impacting the affected areas. There is evidence of a protective plate installed when electrical wiring is ran through the stud in the same area, just not the water pipe for this specific scenario.I reached out to the executive assistant for MTT homes for repair quotes and estimates who represents our community (*********************) and the delays continues. We were advised when we purchased our home to consult with them for any needs within our dwelling. Most recently, I received this email, Good afternoon, *****,I was wondering if my colleague, ********, could stop by this Thursday at 9am to look at this. If this doesnt work, we can schedule a time next week too.Have a great day!They did not show up today nor did I receive a phone call or email for verification of cancellation. It is my understanding that a protective plate needs to be installed over the studs in this type of situation and its a part of regulatory requirements for home building inspection and codes. A direct violation has been violated for the confidence as a consumer to have any trust for the remaining areas of my home that was built with the integrity I expected when purchased.
