On March 14, 2023 Perimeter Roofing VA, LLC entered into a Final Opinion and Order with the Board of Contractors in VA. The following acts are prohibited: Negligence or incompetence in the practice of contracting or residential building energy analyses. Failure of all those who engage in residential contracting, excluding subcontractors and those engaged in routine maintenance or service contracts, prior to commencement of work or acceptance of payments, the contract shall be signed by both parties. Perimeter Roofing acknowledged they failed to get the consumer's signature on a contract.

The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.
On March 12, 2024 the Board for Contractors issued a Consent Order regarding Perimeter Roofing VA, LLC. for the following violations. 1. Failure of those engaged in residential contracting to comply with the terms of a written contract that contain the following minimum requirements; A. When work is to begin and estimated completion date. B. A statement of the total cost and amounts and schedule for progressive payments. C. A list of specific materials and work to be performed. D. A plaint language clause concerning events beyond the control of the contractor, and statement explaining delays caused by such events do not constitute abandonment and not included in calculating time frames. E. A statement that the contractor will comply with all local requirements for building permits, inspections and zoning. F. Contractor's name, address, license number, class of license and any specialties. G. Statement that any modifications to the contract must be in writing. H. A statement notifying consumers of the Transaction Recovery Fund that includes how to contact the Board for claim information.
2. A licensee must operate under the name in which the license is issued. Any name change shall be reported in writing to the board within 30 days.
Perimeter Roofing VA, LLC acknowledges an understanding of the charges and admits to the violations. In addition, Perimeter Roofing agrees to one year probation of its license. During this time frame Perimeter Roofing agrees to comply with regulations of the Board of Contractors. If Perimeter Roofing VA, LLC violates any terms its license maybe revoked.
