Wish to heck I would have stuck with a simple system instead of spending $2,000. Their system is so **** complicated, you will need to be a rocket scientist to set everything! I have spent hours on the phone with tech support and still have a system which is pretty much worthless. My son told me to get the Wyze cameras for $50 each like he has used for years with no problems, but no I had to have a high dollar system. My mistake! these cameras are all ***** made crap!Backstreet Surveillance Response

Hi *****, Sorry you are not satisfied. Before you start touting Wyse cameras you might want to actually try them. We replace hundreds of them every year. I Not sure what you are expecting for $50, but we assure you its not what you think. Your complaint is so vaguer I have no path to help you. We would love to help solve any issues but you left us nowhere to start. If you have a specific issue and would like help please give us a call we'll do our best to help. Side note: there is no contact phone number for Wyse cameras...you are on your own. With us you have unlimited lifetime technical support and managers responding to your complaints same day asking how we can help. But you are trying to get others to buy a $50 camera that provides zero *** support and is 100% Chinese's. Not sure you have adequately done your home work to make such recommendations.Review from Gerald T

I worked through a complete 1st time installation for a video surveillance system using Backstreet Surveillance and they helped me with every step. I found their technicians not only knowledgeable but very helpful and pleasant to work with. I spoke with ****** on more than one occasion and he always took whatever time I needed to help me set up or program what I needed. If you are looking to DIY a surveillance system I cannot think of any other product or service company that offers the professional grade equipment and tech support than Backstreet.Backstreet Surveillance Response

Upgraded from 8 y.o. system. All equipment worked right out of the box. NVR setup is super easy to connect to phone app. Cameras (60VB) very durable as fall from 12' onto asphalt did not damage a thing. Lessons learned: Used UV rated cable for outdoor use and solid *********** with 66 block terminations. Been a professional installer for years and found out via trial and error that ALL CAT 5 pairs must be connected to NVR and camera for operations to work. Outdoor camera mount (M5B) not waterproof so have some silicone ready to seal the seam. ******************* declares NVR front HD blinking red light is a normal condition. Really???? All industry standards say otherwise & it is irritating to see. Have some black tape ready to cover it.Backstreet Surveillance Response

I have dealt with company for over seven years, and they always come through with flying colors! Problems happen, yes but you can't say anything negative about Backstreet. IT support is friendly, well trained. Everyone I ever talked to has been great; they listen to your problem and solve it. Backstreet Surveillance is the BEST. A+++Review from DARRYL F

I downloaded the latest software for pro vue cameras and could not get the software to load my cameras. I fooled with settings for quite a bit of time. I finally found time to call Backstreet surveillance for help. I got a call from Spencer and in about 5 minutes of time he had me up and running. It was tricky to figure out what I had messed up in the settings but he figured it out. I am super happy with Spencers know how. Thanks, Gordon from NHReview from Ralph F

part of the problem I have had with backstreet cameras is when you receive them and plug them in they don't work correctly, what I found out from calling tech support is that the camera settings are off. when I contacted backstreet about recent camera malfunctions they blamed the problem on my POE switch I bought from another company, the idea that an 8 port POE would not support 4 cameras was not true, I tried backstreet's POE it did not fix the problem. what I tried next was I had an identical camera that was working and compared all the camera settings between both cameras after making some changes the camera started working correctly. other cameras that malfunctioned after working a few months is a different kind of problem. for this review all cameras should be checked that they are on correct settings for that type of camera before sending to customer's.Backstreet Surveillance Response

We always do our best Ralph, we are glad the issue is fixed. Sounds like we tried hard as we always do. We have seen many cheap PoE units cause all kinds of problems, so it make sense we would suspect the third party PoE unit you purchased. Glad all issue are resolved. i have 4 camera system on default settings after period of time 1 camera started dropping off and other cameras would flash off and on, I talked to backstreet tech support several times and could not get an answer to fix issue. I talked to a camera installer on local job and asked his opinion, he said switch from default constant recording to motion detection and cameras started working correctly. Mac tried to blame problem on *** i bought from competitor, nothing wrong with ***. backstreet needs to fix issues with there equipment instead of shifting blame somewhere else. the problem was NVR capability.Review from RHS

Yesterday I had a conversation with Greg from company's shipping department and I'm very pleased with the way Greg handled the problem. Great customers service, fast shipping. I just purchased my third camera and I'm very happy with the ones I bought before. I would highly recommend this company as reliable and customers friendly organization. Thank you for all of your help over the past 3 years!
