I would avoid this doctor and his office at all costs. Its the most poorly run office and Dr REMOVEDdoesnt listen to his patients. All he tries to do is sell you things. He told me I needed a new machine because mine was recalled. It wasnt but he sold me a machine that I didnt need. He also had me pay it out of pocket instead of going through insurance because they had computer issues for months. But he said we could get reimbursed from insurance. 1 1/2 years later, we are still trying to get over $1000 from his office for the machine I didnt need to order. His office is refusing to pay. Its been the most frustrating experience dealing with them. I wouldnt wish Dr REMOVEDon my enemy.

We take all patient concerns seriously and strive to provide quality care, accurate information, and professional service to every patient. Due to federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA, we are unable to discuss specific details regarding any individual's medical care or treatment in a public forum. While we cannot address patient-specific medical matters, we would like to provide additional context regarding the billing and insurance concerns raised.Prior to the equipment purchase, our office made multiple attempts to obtain authorization through the patient's insurance carrier. Authorization was not obtained, and the patient elected to purchase the equipment on a self-pay basis. The patient was advised that our office would not be submitting a claim to the insurance carrier for the equipment.Subsequently, an insurance payment was issued to our office for reasons outside of our submission process, as no claim had been filed by our office. Upon receiving the payment, we immediately contacted the insurance carrier to determine the appropriate course of action. After extensive communication and efforts to resolve the matter, the payment was ultimately returned to the insurance carrier.Because the payment was returned to the insurance carrier, any reimbursement or benefit determination related to the self-pay purchase must be addressed directly with the insurance carrier. Our office remains willing to provide reasonable documentation and assistance, as appropriate, to support that process. We understand the frustration that can arise when insurance matters take an extended period of time to resolve. However, we respectfully disagree with the characterization that our office failed to address the matter. Throughout this process, we acted in good faith, communicated with the insurance carrier, and took appropriate steps to ensure compliance with applicable billing and insurance requirements. We remain committed to professionalism, regulatory compliance, and quality patient service. We welcome the opportunity to assist with any remaining administrative questions directly.Sincerely,Sleep Medicine Institute of Texas Management Team
