I am disputing my move out charges from this predatory apartment charged to me on November 15. We have been in correspondence since then about the fairness of the charges. I concede to many of them, including the water bill, move out fees. But they are significantlyover charging me for apartment damage (damaged blinds), and a cleaning fee despite the deep clean I performed myself, as well as a drawer top that came off from being poorly installed. I'm willing to pay partial of some of these fees but I I am not liable to pay for any of the cleaning fee nor the drawer - in fact, if you'll look at the invoice for the drawer that they sent to me, its from 2022, meaning they totally glued the drawer on after it came off before like i suspected! I have video evidence of the clean apartment on move out day. Please help, as it's been a few months and I can not afford for this you effect my credit nor to pay for these bogus fees. I will attach a file of our correspondence thus far as well as a link to the video evidence I provided and any photos they provided. Please any response to settle this fairly would be greatly appreciated, they swallowed up my deposit and are greedily trying to squeeze me for more!

After reviewing the complaint, the charge for the broken drawer has been removed. The updated move out statement is attached and has been sent to the resident.

I am rejecting this response because:   while I appreciate removing the drawer charge, I also request that Post Oaks removes the cleaning fee as well. Here, I've attached again my final moments in the apartment after I had spend days cleaning it thoroughly. The pictures the complex provided as evidence of a  "dirty" apartment are literally specks of dust in the closet, an oven that needed a regular cleaning, and a fire alarm that needed to ve screwed in. These are normal wear and tear that the complex would have had to clean, regardless of how a tenent leaves the apartment, and I left the apartment in fine condition. This is a predatory charge, I will not be paying it, and I am willing to go to small claims court for a fair resolution.

In the spirit of compromise, I will agree to pay for "all" the blinds despite believing this is also an example of superfluous charges, as they were broken, if the cleaning fee is removed. This as well as the final utilities that I have steadfast stood by as fair charges. I just want to pay and wash my hands of the cause. Thanks for the compromise,  it isn't lost on me that you did it.

Per paragraph 26.1 the apartment must be cleaned adequately. The apartment was not left clean, and the resident was charged a reasonable rate. The resident was not charged for the smoke alarm. The final amount due will not be adjusted.
