Kirby vacuum salesperson was so pushy and made us feel super uncomfortable. When I answered the door, the guy started talking fast and it was unclear what he was selling. He thrust a pack of Tide Pods into my hands saying it was for giving him a moment of his time and when I asked what he was selling, rather than answering me he just told me to wait while he went to his vehicle to grab a box. When he returned it was still unclear what he was trying to sell and when I asked he pushed past me into my home so he could do his demonstration. We didn't get a clear answer of what he was selling until he was already unboxing and assembling the large vacuum. At this point we told him we were not interested, but he continued to insist that he just wanted to demonstrate the vacuum to us. We also informed him that we were in the middle of eating lunch and didn't have time for his demonstration, but he insisted it would be short and he just needed to show us. After this he moved us into our bedroom so he could demonstrate on carpet how terrible our current Dyson vacuum is. The entire way we were making it very clear that we were not going to purchase this vacuum today, but he continued on anyway. And it was not a short demonstration. He kept repeating the same phrases and we responded repeatedly with disinterest. As two women with a man who just forced his way into our home it did not feel safe to be blatantly rude and tell him to get out, but we made it clear in every other way that we were not interested and he was wasting his and our time. Finally when the demonstration was over and he tried selling us their "great deal" (later looked online and found their machines for much cheaper) we turned him down again. At this point he finally accepted what we were saying, and began packing up his equipment while pouting that he didn't make the sale. He got very quiet and took forever to pack up and it made me feel super uncomfortable. On his way out I asked if I could help him with anything and he ignored me. When I followed him to the front door to open it for him, he was very rude and acted like I was getting in the way and was sighing heavily at me. Additionally on the way out he asked for the Tide Pods back. Overall extremely pushy, rude, and unprofessional. Additionally, after further investigation online I have found that the company preys on elderly and low income individuals who certainly don't have thousands to spare on a vacuum cleaner. Absolutely disgusting.
