    On 06/14/2025 my husband and I went to the **************** store to purchase an air conditioner. We had just got back from ****** returning a ***** ****************************************************************************************** my money and we went to PC ********** When the sales *** was showing us different units he never stated that they were not returnable at all if i used it. He showed us the Friedrich chill inverter CCV10A10A. It sounded great so I purchased it with cash and debit card as it was expensive@ $575.29 After installing I noticed a big difference in the cooling from the smaller btu Midea unit to yours. It was unmistakably hotter in the bedroom with the Friedrich air Conditioner. It has only been a 1 1/2 weeks but the unit is not cooling down the 200sq ft room. It should be able to cool down a 400 sq ft room. My room is 1/2 that. I wake up drenched in sweat in middle of night every night. I have the unit running on high and medium setting at 66 degrees and room is still warm. The Midea unit was steady set on 68 degrees on low economy and room was COLD. I called Friedrich this morning and your *** told me to take it back to the store i bought it from. I asked her 3x to look up warranty info and she refused stating just return to store. I then called store and was told by customer service that I can NOT return the unit as it was used. Even defective they wont take it back. I stated the issues and was told again. No returns. I asked for a manager and was told he was busy. I will never purchase in their store again. Emails with your ************** Your documents have been received I will proceed with your buy-out check for the amount of $529.00, I apologize for any inconvenience you have gone through with our warranty process. Please have in mind our checks are sent via ******* shipping it can take 7 to 10 business days for you to receive the check. Respectfully,***** ******************* Lead. I NEVER RECEIVED A CHECK !!!

    I purchased a Friedrich air conditioner CCW15B10H from ******************* of *************************************** on July 2nd 2021. May of 2025 I noticed the unit ran but didn't cool anymore and suspected a freon leak. The unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system, so I took the unit back to *************** on June 7th 2025. I was told by **** ****** of ***************** that they did not have a company certified technician to do warranty work and stated the closest factory certified tech was at ***************************. I contacted *********** and they refused service since I didn't purchase the unit from them. I ended up at ***************** ************************************* to find the next closest Friedrich certified tech. ******* took until June 19th to examine the unit and declare that the unit had no freon and qualified for warranty claim. ****** at ******* worked with Friedrich, to which Friedrich told ******* to pressure test the unit and find out where the leak was and told them to only replace the defective part. ******* found that it was the condenser coil that was leaking and tried to order the part from Friedrich to which it was on backorder. ******* called Friedrich and Friedrich stated they don't sell the needed part. ******* contacted ******* **** of Friedrich to request a replacement authorization. ***** granted it, but stated that the replacement would need to happen at ******** (June 30th) since I purchased it from them. I called both ******* and Klechner July 10th asking for a status and ****** at ******* stated that ***** forgot and that ***** now sent an email to ****** at Klechner. I called Klechner and was informed that no ****** works there and told them to contact ***** ***** directly. Klechner stated that I would need the old AC unit to exchange for the new one, to which I don't have it, ***************** had it and disposed of it. To date I have yet to hear back from **** at ***************.

    I am rejecting this response until the ** unit is replaced (in-kind).  Will advise & review is not a track able action item that resolves the problem.    Friedrich has a problem with lack of certified technicians and handling warranty claims in general.  Second, Friedrich has a problem with there area sales representatives such as ******* ***** and he unresponsiveness to handling warranty claims.  It has been over a month with no actionable resolve to the warranty claim to replace the defective unit.

    I have had multiple problems with my ac unit. Friedrich sent me another unit which is also defective. I was told I would receive a buy out and to mail all the serial number and manufacturer stickers which I did. I received an email my buy out was approved and would be receiving it in the mail in ***** business days and I have not. I contacted them by email 6/30 and have not received a response.

    My Friedrich Chill Premier 18k BTU Smart Room AC was purchased July 2023 at an appliance store at a cost of $950 and is still under warranty. It operated for 2 seasons, a total of less than 4 months. End of June 2025, ice formed on the coils and it no longer functioned as an AC. It only operates in the fan and dry modes. I called the closest Friedrich service dealer mentioned on the company website (over 40 miles away) and the *** said they no longer work with room units and Friedrich was informed but ***** updated their website. So I called Friedrich to ask for other service providers and was told to use any HVAC business and obtain a diagnostic ***ort to submit in addition to a receipt and tag number. I called 6 companies and none would make a service call. It seemed central air customers were a priority. However, a few advised the problem sounded like a freon/compressor issue and it might be better to ***lace. At least they were honest in saving me the $300+ to make the house call. Back to Friedrich to request they send out a technician only to learn the company doesnt offer their own ***air service. I asked the *** to contact their listing of Friedrich certified technicians and that was not possible. It was my responsibility to continue searching and calling. Sending my own pictures wasnt acceptable and a diagnostic ***ort is a non-negotiable requirement even if the product is under warranty. Based on my unfortunate experience, I could not in good conscience recommend Friedrichs products. Their system is not designed to help the customer with a defective product but rather to frustrate the consumer, leave them without recourse and spend more of their own money. And thats unacceptable and unethical. At least if there had been some understanding of my predicament and a compromise reached, I would not have to file negative reviews and complaints.

    I find the statement by the Friedrich company totally inadequate. To comment they will advise me directly is too vague and does not engender confidence on my part considering the difficulty I experienced with their customer service department. However, I would like to express my gratitude to the BBB for their quick response time. I would appreciate a more specific statement from the Friedrich company regarding a resolution. Thank you.

    Bought a friedrich A/C which was under warranty, sealed unit went, freeon leaked out. Friedrich promised new unit in July, now they offer me a buyout of ******, unit cost *******. Now they say new unit will come in August. I have sent receipt of purchase, diagnostic report, etc. everything they needed, and still no satisfaction. We now had to purchase a new unit which cost ******* because we had no air conditioner and my husband is a 9/11 survivor and has trouble breathing. We were dealing with a person **** ******, who is no longer with company. Now dealing with *****!!

    I purchased a Friedrich Chill Premier Inverter Window Air Conditioner (Model CCV15A10A), which is advertised as a smart unit with Wi-Fi capability through the FriedrichGo app. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi feature does not work on my unit.The unit displays a solid Wi-Fi light, which according to the manual means it is already connected. However, I cannot connect it to the app, cannot force it into pairing mode, and the standard reset methods (MODE + FAN SPEED or POWER + MODE + FAN SPEED) do nothing. The FriedrichGo app instructs users to press a DISPLAY button that doesnt even exist on my remote, making the directions unusable.I attempted all documented reset methods. The issue appears to be either defective hardware ************* or a firmware bug that prevents connection or reset. This is a known issue with other users of this model.I have emailed Friedrich customer service multiple times and received no response whatsoever. I also attempted to call the support line, and after long wait times, was either disconnected or referred back to email.This is a premium-priced product with advertised smart features that do not function. *****, the company has made no effort to respond or resolve the issue. At this point, I am requesting:1.A replacement ******************** or 2.A service call to repair the issue, or 3.A refund or replacement unit if this cannot be *********** happy to provide photos, video proof, and purchase information. I expect Friedrich to uphold their warranty and support their product. Ignoring a customer with a nonfunctional unit is unacceptable.

    I bought a Friedrich dehumidifier a little less than a year ago. The unit failed within a year and I was still within the warranty period. I called Friedrich for service. They directed me to three local services to get a diagnostic report. I called those businesses and they said they dont work with Friedrich dehumidifiers. One even said that its a very common occurrence that people call and they have to turn them away.I called Friedrich customer service back and asked them to replace the faulty unit but they refused to do so and insisted on a diagnostic report which I cannot get because no local services work with the unit. I am now stuck with an expensive dehumidifier that failed within 1 year.

    I purchased a window AC with a rebate in June 2024 and haven't received the rebate yet.Every time I call(over 10 times)I get the runaround.I will never again buy an AC from such a fraud company and neither should anyone else.

    I am waiting for 2 rebate checks Friedrich claims to have sent me. I do not recall getting them. I've emailed them twice asking for replacements or copies of the front and back of the cancelled checks, but no response to either. I called their rebate center and they say this happened before they started handling the rebates.     On 6/29/21 I purchased a ductless multi zone mini split system through Friedrich that provides my home with heating and air conditioning. The total cost of the purchase was $5,626.87. The business committed to providing a 5 year warranty on the equipment on top of a 7 year warranty on the compressor that serves the outdoor unit. On 1/24/25 my HVAC technician identified that the compressor was overheating in the outdoor unit which was consequently not sending any heat or air to my home. I contacted the warranty department at Friedrich directly and they offered me a warranty buyback of $727.55. I was notified by them that they are no longer supporting this unit and that this was the option they chose. This warranty buyback does not incorporate the thousands of other dollars of the system, and only the component that failed. I am currently residing in *********, ** which has consistently been around freezing temperatures. I have communicated this to them explaining that my home is currently being heated by auxillary plug in heat. Attached are all documents provided to the company that were requested as well as an email chain between myself and their **************** Agent.
