I bought a car on the 16 of august and didn’t get it back until like a week and a half later the told me I’d get it on the 20th then they said Thursday they they said the would drop it off at my job on Friday then they said Saturday then they called me and said either Monday or Tuesday so I go the car on Tuesday like at 6:30 I drive off and notice the front speakers are blown and my tire pressure light is on then a day later my breaks start sweaking so I take it in and they say it meets specs so I leave then I drive to Walmart go inside and come out like 5 minutes later my car is dead I open the hood and the battery has. Corrosion all over it mind you I’ve had the car for a total of two days so I buy a battery because they are no help I reach out to corporate and they say since it’s not a Nissan vehicle but one bought through them they would have to directed to the Rosenberg DM so I call and the new car manager says oh you called corporate on us well Nissan isn’t going to do anything about it I have recordings and text from all of this my rotors is bad it’s chipped away I sent a video showing that and the guy says it’s good enough overall these people are rude

    Stock# ******** a 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited listed online for $22,981.

Identified a few things that needed attention , overall the car was acceptable for the price. We came pre approved with our own financing ready to buy with no trade in, just a straight purchase.

We were told about Gillmans Lifetime Engine Warranty that was advertised on the vehicles windshield, upon reading the fine print the warranty does not extend to vehicles older than 5 years and/or over 80k miles. So even though it was clearly advertised on the car the warranty did not apply as the model year was a 2017 and the mileage was just shy of 82k miles.

Finance summarized numbers for us to agree to before the formal contract was drawn up. The numbers tacked on roughly an additional $2500 on top of the advertised price for a protection plan including window film protection, wheel lugnut locks, and nitrogen filled tires… we declined to pay as it wasn’t in the advertised price, it wasn’t a requested service, the vehicle clearly has scraps in the passenger side completely through the tint onto the glass, the costs of $2500 was not only hidden until this point but also highly obscene in comparison to the costs of these items/services if purchased privately.

We were then asked to sign/initial the pricing summary stating we would purchase the vehicle if finance removed the roughly $2500 in fees and got the original deal back to advertised price, tax, title, reg. We did. Eventually sales came back and started asking us splitting the fee, we again declined, and told him we would just be going home as we felt we were misled. I was asked to come to finance to discuss the fee, I declined. As we were leaving a person from Finance stated he had other people willing to pay the fee and Finance through the Gillman versus self financing. He also stated that the advertised price was a “pricing strategy” and then told us “sorry you wasted your time”.

I have spoken with this customer and agreed to a resolution of
refunding him the gas money he used to drive to the store. He understands that
    the vehicle was already sold.

On July 27, 2022, I brought my van in to Gillman Nissan to receive an oil change, CV boot replacement and to investigate some wobbling. The technician recommended replacing items that my husband had recently replaced, giving him a sense they did not know what they were talking about. We agreed to new front brakes and the CV repair.

While doing these repairs they said the coolant was leaking somewhere. My van had never had any temperature issues ever, and this is mid-summer in Houston. They recommended a pressure test to see where the leaks were coming from. My husband agreed.

After the test, they said there were some minor leaks we should repair before too long. We said we'd wait and took the vehicle home. 4 days later, on August 3, my vehicle overheated while I was on the freeway, nearly leaving me stranded.

My husband was out of town, so I had to get a car rental. The coolant reservoir was completely empty. A few days later when my husband returned, he put coolant in the radiator and saw that it was leaking rapidly. He also noticed that there was a part missing from the vehicle, and extra screws under the hood from the missing part.

He called Gillman, and they said they could not do anything about the missing part or the overheating of the vehicle. We strongly feel their poor service caused the overheating and they should be responsible for the part they failed to replace.

    We
diagnosed the 2012 Nissan Quest in this complaint as having a leaking radiator
and coolant leak at the radiator hoses. We provided an estimate to replace the
failed parts and the customer declined these repairs.

    If
any vehicle is leaking engine coolant it will cause the vehicle to break down
at some point if left unrepaired and the coolant all leaks out.

    Today
we contacted the customer and let them know as a gesture of goodwill, we will
resolve the 2 bolts and missing part concerns.  We also  advised the customer that
Gillman Nissan would refund the diagnosis fee of the radiator leak check.  The $ 149.00  refund is a goodwill gesture for customer
    satisfaction.

    Sincerely,

    Aldo
