On June 1, 2025, I received a message from ****************************, stating that I owed a collection amount to Texas Radiology Associates (TRA). To verify the claim, I logged into my TRA patient account using my personal credentials and saw a bill for that exact amount. Believing the debt was legitimate, I paid the bill immediately. I have both the payment confirmation and the invoice showing the charge to my credit card. However, when I logged back into my TRA account the following day (June 2, 2025), the bill and payment record had completely disappeared. I contacted **** customer service, and they confirmed that there is no balance on my account and no bill was ever sent to collections. This situation leads me to believe I may have been targeted in a scam, possibly involving access to or a mirrored version of my actual TRA account. For reference, I did not click on any link in the original text message. I am seriously concerned about how my TRA account was manipulated to display a fake bill and whether my personal information has been compromised.

There is no way to contact an actual person to speak to. I have waited on hold for hours over multiple calls. You can request a call back but the call is never returned They keep sending bills but have not filed the insurance which they have on file.

I have been billed at least 5-10 times for the same thing and every time they say insurance hasnt paid so its my responsibility, Ive called insurance theyve never received bills, and would gladly pay if they send the bill, they never do and continue to harass me. Every month I get a new letter for an old service that hasnt been billed. When will it end? Likely never. *** PLEASE STOP USING THEM!

I'm sure that Radiology Associates is a SCAM:My Xrays were taken at a clinic. Within minutes, my doctor (at the same clinic) read the Xrays and determined my surgical procedure from the Xrays. Then my doctor set up surgery with the hospital - surgery based on Xrays which my doctor had read.THEN I got a bill from Radiology Associates. FOR WHAT? What did they actually do? NOTHING.They learn through a medical grapevine that you've had an Xray, and then they send you a bill. They don't actually provide any service. They've gotten away with thei scam for years because they sound professional.

The people who actually do the radiology are great. They say all the "right" things, "We just want to get you healthy again." But then when the bill comes due, it's a whole different animal. You wait on hold for more than an hour, you tell them that you can't pay the amount because you don't have insurance, and, yes, they'll reduce it, but not to an amount that's still affordable for someone who is basically unemployed. I know, it's just part of the effing american medical system, but it's still ridiculous. The lady on the phone was actually quite pleasant, and her pleasantness and the folks who actually did all the scans and X-rays and what have you are the only reason I gave them the second star. If it was just for the billing process, which largely reflect the company's priorities, I'd give them no stars, if I could.

Texas Radiology Associates is part of the following horrible business practice... ******************************** will Shake you down for services that they agree to in Cash. I was referred by my physician to ********************* for a Coronary Calcium Score. I was told it would be $110 flat fee cash price by both my doctor and at the hospital when I went to get the test. Got the test done and two weeks later I get a text from Texas Radiology associates wanting $387 for their reading of the test. So I had to give them my insurance then. Do not do this test at this location. They will shake you down for all that you have. Horrible customer experience and service. There is a reason they are not part of the better business Bureau, because they do not do good business. LR

On 6/03/23 I took myself to the *** On 7/1/23 I received a bill from Texas **************** for a bill of $2,193.00 for a CT Angiography of the head. I called them the next day to be told that it was being resubmitted as the coding was the issue.Fast forward: I am thinking all is well and then out of the blue, I get a call from a ***************** named CMRE.I explained to them that the hospital did a CT Scan of my head on 6/03. Due to the way TRA coded the description, it was denied by BCBS. My insurance company told me to ask them to code it correctly and they would be more than happy to pay the bill. (my entire deductible was met at that time as well). I called Texas Radiology *************) on 10/10, 10/12, and 10/24. I finally reached someone on 10/24 who said that they could not understand why this was coded the way it was and resubmitted it for review. No word from TRA or any type of correspondence from them.To date, CMRE has been calling me repeatedly. I called TRA again on 2/1/24 and was able to speak to a human named **** who escalated this to someone named *****. **** asked that I call back on 2/12 to get status. On 2/12, I called as **** requested, and no one answered the phone. I held for 1.5 hours. I took a phone screenshot showing the 1.5 hour hold with still no answer. I called again on 2/13 - same scenario. I was on hold for 1 hour. I took another phone screenshot to show that I held for another 1 hour with no answer. I have sent those all to the collection agency to show them that I am trying to make things right, but it is impossible. Not sure how anyone can resolve anything with this TRA company. No one will ever answer the phone.

I have tried multiple times to talk to someone that handles the billing in this office. My insurance has verified with me that the claim was not submitted correctly and that is why it did not pay. I have had numerous calls and mail from CMRE a debt collection agency, I have talked to CMRE and they have noted my complaint but have not helped in any way to get this matter resolved. I have tried to call Texas Radiology Associates only to be put on a HOLD line for hours that never actually connects with a person. I have left call back request but no one returns the call. I have gone to the online portal and my information appears to be correct. I have done everything in my power to correct this billing. I will not pay something that has not been submitted to my insurance provider with the correct information.

They have the wrong insurance on file. They were supposed to correct it on Oct. 5, 2023. Cannot update in the patient portal. Cannot reach a live person on the phone and when I opt to schedule a callback, no one ever does!!!

Had my first mammogram in March 2022. My insurance covered the procedure, paid in April, however we continued to receive a bill. I called to get it figured out and discovered that they were trying to run the claim AGAIN, but in my husband's name, which insurance automatically denied. They tell me it's been fixed. Fast forward to Sept 2022 and I get a call from a debt collection agency. The first one I have ever received in my entire life. I called Tx Radiology again, which is SO hard to actually get in contact with a person there and I could go into more detail, but I am limited with words in this review box. **************** said they would pull the account from collections and it would be taken care of. I just received another piece of mail from the collection agency, trying to STILL collect this "debt", saying they've verified my dispute with the creditor and it's still valid. It is now Dec 2022!!!! I called Tx Radiology again. They do not know why the debt is still with CMRE. In the meantime, I am dealing with this hit to my credit report for MONTHS now. THIS BILL WAS PAID LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER SERVICES BY MY INSURANCE!!!! There is NO reason it should've gone to a collection agency in the first place. I did not receive a text, letter, or call to inform me that this was going to happen. When i received a bill, I called to follow up immediately and was told that it was a mistake on their end (having my husband's name as the patient instead of me) and it would be handled. And THIS is how they've handled it. What kind of kick back is this company getting from CMRE? This is how they treat paying customers. Look at their ratings everywhere else. This is a common practice of theirs and they should be held accountable for ruining the financial health of families they provide services for. Stay FAR away from this company. If anyone decides to put together a lawsuit, contact me. Until then, we will be contacting JAG. Complete disgust at this point.
