You need to be really careful dealing with this company anytime you need actual service, they will try to rip you off if they think they can get away with it. They came out earlier this week to fix my bathroom sink/faucet, and I supplied the faucet and feeder hoses because I already had those on hand. To just pull out the old faucet, put in the new one, and replace the valves and fittings that connect to the plumbing, they charged me $1100! The time between when the guy pulled into my driveway, and pulled out of my driveway was only **** hours, and they charge $1100 for that??? A few years ago I had them come in for duct cleaning. In that case, the guys were here for a total of 45 minutes, spayed compressed air into my vents, and they were going to charge me $500 for that? I complained and in the end they didn't charge me, but my god. Last summer I noticed I was using about twice as much power as usual, and after narrowing down the possible reasons and doing some Googling, I concluded that the most likely problem was a problem with the auxiliary heating strip. I told this to the guys who came out, and they pretty much just blew off what I said. After 3 more weeks my house was still using too much power, so they came out again, and realized that, surprise!, the problem was a short circuit in the auxiliary heater. The cocky @ss who fixed it thought he was some kind of genius until I reminded him that I had told him that was the most likely problem in the first place. On top of the electricity that was wasted before I knew of the problem, it cost about $300 more in wasted electricity before they finally fixed it. I'm feeling I've seen about all I can stand from this company!Review from Brian J

I am very disappointed. I had to call someone to perform a pressure check on my gas line so I could have the service turned back on after not living in the home or having any active service on it for almost a year. Service Experts sent out a team of two people who looked at everything then proceeded to tell me that their company requires them to charge a minimum $1250 initial fee and due to the age of my home, i'm probably looking at likely around an additional $750.00 estimated. I've had this service performed by different companies at this address before and only paid between $150 and $250. I inform them that they were trying to scam me, that I was not happy about it and to please leave my property. Later in the day, they emailed my wife $100+ invoice for the service call with her initials forged on it. She was at the hospital, having chemotherapy treatment for her breast cancer and I was the one who went to meet them on site and refused their service. I called them upset about it and they will not even return my call about it. Service experts, not really. More like Service Crooks. I'm giving them one star because they did show up on time but I shouldn't have to pay a service charge for a 10x normal local cost bid scam that I refuse to allow them to take advantage of me for. To begin, I blame myself for the position I'm in with A1 Chesney, thought I was more educated to sales pressure. Although the tech. did a great job servicing our furnace... I couldn't help but feel pressured into leasing a new furnace when ours's quit in -25 weather. Anyways since then both my wife and I agree it was the most idiot and expensive move we've made. On top of the expense, the furnace is only serviced every 2 years, this I don't understand at all. I could go on with all the details but go with your gut feeling on these sales deals... What sounds like a great problem solver and upgrade when your in a VULNERABLE position,(-25 weather) will end up costing you for years to come. *by the way, the 5 stars are only for **************. Very unhappy customer here. Ongoing and consistent problems with a brand new unit from Service Experts for over 3 years now, and management continues to ignore our communications and attempts to find a real solution. Multiple technicians have serviced the unit with various labor charges applied (over $800 in just the last 6 months), and all agree that the unit seems to have a deeper systematic problem. However, limited communication with management from 3 months ago was completely frustrating and utterly useless. They talked in circles and refused to simply acknowledge that the unit is clearly faulty. After loosely agreeing that more of an active solution will probably be needed than just "sending out another senior technician", suddenly all calls, texts and email have been ignored. Our AC unit continues to breakdown regularly and we cannot get anyone from management to speak with us. This is among the very worst customer ********************** situations we have ever experienced with no end in sight and we are considering our next steps as consumers.Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning Response

Quoted service prices that are not market appropriate. Will not breakdown cost between parts/supplies and labor. States prices are driven by corporate office but also will not share a price menu for services. A1 Chesney has been easy to work with and they do good work. I have had them help with my furnace, install a Tankless Hot Water Heater, Water Softener and Water Filtration at my new project home. It took them 5 days to get the right part for my 86-year-old mother's furnace. It cost all together over 800 dollars for a 100-dollar part and a 15-minute job. The first technician came at the cost of 210-dollars and beat on parts with a wrench said burner module was bad. came back 2 days later and replaced it and that wasn't the problem. 3 days later a different technician came and replaced the Fan control board. we now have heat, but the fan doesn't ever shut off.
