    Jim came highly recommended by a builder we had worked with previously. We presented Jim with a very challenging project. We wanted a custom rolling, folding office table with a large, hinged table drop-leaf that can be placed within our cabinet or pulled out and expanded for meetings. The trick was that we wanted the table to look seamless when the leaf is dropped and seamless when the leaf was raised. Jim's solution was to build a rounded hinge out of the tabletop’s solid walnut. He also solved the counterbalance issue of having a heavy drop leaf by integrating an elegant steel plate into the bottom frame. This was truly a unique project. Our table is one-of-a-kind. Jim's craftsmanship and eye for detail are bar-none. More importantly, I'm convinced he can make any idea happen. He thought through our list of wants and customized a piece of furniture that become a work of art. We cannot recommend Jim Farris enough.

    I have used Jim Farris cabinets for several projects over the past year. Most recently we made modifications to the cabinets in our kitchen. Jim came out to the house and was able to guide us in to modifications that would give us the biggest impact. He created a custom island cabinet, refaced a few cabinet doors, added corbels and glazed the existing cabinetry. I would recommend Jim for any project where quality and craftsmanship is important to you.
