On March 1, 2022, a 1997 Tahoe was taking to Beever's to have a radiator replaced. At that time, there were other issues that needed to be worked on aside from the radiator which was discussed with us. The total came out to $2,300. Upon knowing the total price, we discussed that we did not have the full amount for the work to be done on the vehicle so we, ******* and ** were referred to the SNAP program. IF you qualify for SNAP you are given 100 days to pay in full without interest but after 100 days the fee would default to 100% interest. Making the total being $4,600. So of course, we agreed to the 100 day finance agreement. Beever's kept the car and worked on it and called us back with the bad news that antifreeze and water had entered the motor causing damages to the motor that now they could not fix themselves so we were referred out to another mechanic by the name of Monkey Mike. The manager at Beever's by the name of *** ***** stated that this gentleman was a great mechanic and he would be able to help us so the car was towed to his place of business.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/31) */ Unfortunately Ms. ******** vehicle had other issues after we finished the repairs here at Beever's Radiator Shop. She was referred to a Mechanic to do the additional repairs to the vehicle. We only charged Ms. ***** for the repairs that were performed at Beever's Radiator Shop. The parts that were replaced at Beever's, on the vehicle, have warranties. We can not speak for another Mechanic and their shop policies. We were not aware of any problems that Ms. ***** was having with her vehicle after she picked it up from the other mechanic shop. When she called Beever's Radiator, in mid May, she implied that she was not happy with the work that had been performed at the other shop and wanted us to replace her motor. We do not replace motors at Beever's. We regret that she is still having problems with her vehicle. Once again if there are issues with any parts that were replaced at Beever's Radiator, they are possibly covered under the manf. warranty. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I agree with this statement to a point. I understand that Beever's does not replace motors but the business does replace radiators which is the 1st problem we were having with the vehicle. Do to the radiator being replaced, antifreeze and/or water some how got into the motor and that's when Beever's referred us to the mechanic, Monkey Mike's, I am not sure what conversation that took place between Monkey Mikes and Beevers but they spoke on whatever needed to be done on the vehicle/motor. So Beever's was aware of the problem with the motor. I appreciate you and thank you for taking time to look into this matter. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/02) */ I'm sorry that Ms. Reyes feels that we are at fault that her vehicle is not working properly. Water does not enter the motor oil through the radiator. We also had to replace the thermostat and a water pump on the vehicle, along with hoses. When water enters the motor oil it is through the intake or head gaskets which is caused by the vehicle overheating too many times. When the Tahoe was dropped off at our shop it had no coolant in the system at all and she stated that it had overheated several times. Yes we also have correspondence with other mechanics. We arranged for the Tahoe to be towed to the other shop for intake gasket repair per her request. Ms. Reyes at that point was in contact with the other shop and mechanic about her vehicle and it was out of our hands at that point.
