Misrepresenting the process of getting an EIN, collecting sensitive information like SSN and ********* manager clicked on the link thinking this was the process and that they were using an official IRS website.I sent email for cancellation. October 21, 2024. I was also deceived thinking this was a legitimate ******* website. I ordered a EIN without realizing this site was a scam. I contacted them through support email less than 8 hours later and they replied. They offered $100 refund. When I demanded full refund, they rescinded the offer in a subsequent email. On October 21st, 2024, at 1:04PM CST we received your application for a new *** number. That same day we processed your application at 3:56 PM CST and sent it to the email address on file. At 10:37 PM CST you sent us an email wanting to cancel your application.
We explained that once we have assigned an active *** number, we are not able to, but we could provide you with $100.00 refund back to the original form of payment. You stated that you do not trust the *** assigned as legitimate and that we are marked as scam all over the internet and to cancel.
We explained that we are not able to do that and that the *** number that was sent to you was directly obtained by us from the ***. The official CP 575 letter. You then stated that you would accept $290.00 back or you will dispute with your credit card company and then went on a rant due to a typo in the email by one of our agents. Yes, we did rescind our offer because you were not settling with the refund amount, we were willing to provide. At that point we would just rather wait to hear from your credit card company.
We understand our service is not for everyone. This is why it is explained in detail from the ****** link to the checkout page that we are a paid service and under our FAQ page that you can file directly through the *** at no cost to you.

I am rejecting this response because: I tried to cancel within the same day. In fact within less than 12 hours. Once I realized that this company was price gouging, I asked for my money back. They offered $100 off. Even at $195 it is still price gouging. They could have negotiated something fair and reasonable, instead they rescinded the offer and were rather unaccommodating.Business Response

We do not have to offer you any sort of compensation due to the nature of the service. Once the *** number has been assigned, a refund does not have to be issued. You assumed that because we charge a fee for this service and a simple typo in an email qualifies us as a scam. Our website states you can apply at no charge through the *** website. On Friday, October 18th, 2024, I was searching on ****** to set up EIN and was tricked into thinking that EINsupport/eintaxfiliing was the government agency that provides EINS. I put in my card not noticing the amount and didn't realize it was a scam trying to imitate the government site until after I received my confirmation I then tried to request a refund or cancelation. I was informed it was too late. This is a misleading business practice. If they weren't trying to decide you they would say in big letters we are not a government agency. Most people who have never set up an EIN or TIN probably wouldn't even notice. this is why I usually look up a URL or business before putting in my card number. I am looking for a full refund since there is no cost associated with this process. Thank youBusiness Response

Back on 10/23/2024 we offered you $100.00 refund to settle this issue. You stated that this was better than nothing. We sent you an agreement and never received anything back.
Our website goes into detail of who we are, what we do and why we charge a fee. We do not state that we are a government agency, you assumed based off a ****** search, which also provides an AD that this is a paid service. We apologize that you were unhappy with our service, but it does state on every page of who we are.

I am rejecting this response because: If i was so obvious to the average consumer i would not be the only one that has felt mislead and went to the BBB. there are tons of bad reviews and an F rating. i have also started to file with the *** consumer protection division, *************************************************************************** and *************** of consumer affairs **************. I have included these links so that others know where to go to get the issue rectified. This is the first BBB review i have ever completed. that is how strongly i feel about the way your company has treated the situation. I have even contemplated filling a small claims case against them so they would have to come to my state to defend themselves. Could have avoided all of this by just refunding me even most of my money back, but instead have decided to go about it in this manner.

We are a Third-Party filing service. Just like you are able to file for your taxes for free or you can hire a professional to file your taxes. The company TAXIDSUPPORT (a fraud company) disguise themselves as *** affiliated. I was charged for an EIN filing report which is suppose to be Free from the *** $295. The company does not want to respond to my e-mail nor phone calls. This company is a scam and charging individuals $295 who are not aware that filing for EIN number is free in the *** website. I clicked on a link that ran by scammers, posed as a free *** website. They charged me $295.00 for a service that the *** provides for free, but they hijack consumers while disguised as a ****************************** They collect confidential information that would only be given to the government agency! I am rejecting this response because: Your website sheepishly re-directs directly to the *** site after stealing payments. The *** is then immediately issued, so your response is not acceptable, as it is immediately issued after payment is taken. If the company will not issue refund, I will contact the *** and the *** to notify them that the company is posing as a representative of ******* and have the authorities investigate and pursue the matter from that standpoint. The website explains in detail of who we are, what we do and why we charge a fee. It states that we are not affiliated with any government agency. Your application was processed on September 26th and this is the first time we have heard from you. We also did not receive any email that you had an issue.
Under the terms of service, you agreed to, once an active EIN number has been assigned, we are not able to cancel/refund.

July 9/24. I was charged $295 for a EIN number. Then realized I was on wrong website. Called my bank and they gave me their phone number from the charge. Called right away and talked with ***** and explained what I had done. She said she would refund the money in ***** days. Called on day 15 and she said business days. As of August 9th no refund. Have called several times and left messages but no return call. I have read several complaints where they told them they couldnt return the money if they gave them a EIN number.
