      I called three times to ask about my bill for February because it was extremely high. I live alone in a 1/1 apartment and my bills were $200-400 monthly. I asked about a payment plan and was told by 3 different people that I had until March 31st to pay my bill in full. I received a disconnection notice for $238.92 so I called to make payment arrangements. I was told to disregard the disconnection notice because I have until March 31 to pay my bill in full. I asked are you sure and was told that the disconnection notice shouldnt have been sent out. I come home on March 6 to find my lights had been turned off. I call and I get the same guy on the phone. He tells me that I have to pay $432 to get my service turned back on. I explain to him what I was told by different people and ask if he can go back and listen to the calls and I was told that he no one would be able to listen tot he audio for at least 2-3 business days which is a lie. This is the second time that Ambit has done this to me and apologized for the representatives giving me the wrong information but because the service was disconnected theres nothing that can be done. They wont allow me to make payment arrangements again. The male representatives are very rude and dont listen to you at all. I have been with them for 5 years and this is the second d time that this has happened due to being given the wrong information. No one speaks clear English and they dont understand what youre trying to explain to them. I cant understand why I get the same two males all the time. I cant understand why my bills are so high with them for a one bedroom apartment with just one person.

      This is a terrible company!!! Please do not spend your money here! They will lie and your bill will be expensive regardless of your plan!!! They do not care about their customers! If I could leave a zero star I would!!

      Renew on time OR they will truly double your bill as you read below in other comments. I have been with Ambit 10 years and I did fail to renew- so, in just 7 months, my rate went from 8 cents to 15 cents! (this cost me an additional **** dollars). They will try to "retain you" but my advice is to cancel - why be with a company that would do this to consumers? if you have not joined Ambit - just don't. Before the last 7 months, my "savings" were always absorbed by the fees regardless.

      I was encouraged to use this company due to I'm in an apartment. When I received my 1st full billing cycle, discovered I have to pay a $25.54 charge to Oncor? I call bs!! My total electric used was $67 and they tack on a $25.54 charge. This is for electric used in January. I will NOT be able to afford electricity in July or possibly sooner due to the temperatures in DFW get warmer each year. Stay away from Ambit Energy, total rip-off!

      Never Again! Over priced and poor customer service. I'm new to ********************** and choosing an energy plan. This company took advantage of that. My bill was over $200 every month. They have a delivery fee every month that can change to how ever much they want which will increase your rate. And they charge a $199 fee to switch plans or cancel. The customer service team was extremely rude and nonchalant. I highly recommend any other company! Do not get into business with Ambit energy. They've taken a lot of money from me that I cannot get back. ****** learned.

      BAIT AND SWITCH you sign up at one rate, then they change the rate on you (after YEARS of paying on time) with no notice. My electric bill nearly doubled. seemed too good to be true...and now it was.

      Not true at all, when calling to cancel you offered a lower rate. Take care of your customers and use honest pricing methods. Do better.

      Worst company that I have ever dealt with. Every time I call the calls are being routed overseas. I have spoken with multiple supervisors, none who have been able or willing to assist me. There was a change in my plan and my bills went from $80-$100/month to almost $500/month. This is absurd. No statements were sent to me for THREE MONTHS!! By the time I received a statement, my bill was $1500. Every time I have tried to receive any assistance the overseas managers keep saying "the plan that you were in you are responsible for the *************** they have been trained not to assist with bills in any way. I don't understand how a company can not send you an invoice for 3 months, over charge you and get away with it. I will fight this!! Why can't I speak to someone in the US?!?! I am from another state and I am not familiar with a method of choosing how many kilowatts I think I will use! I had a plan that I was comfortable with and don't recall choosing a new plan. The worst experience I have ever had. How are they allowed to continue to do business!!

      I tried to cancel my service due to sky high rates then ******* put me on hold then hang up the phone. I tried to call back but the phone number won't get thru anymore. This company is ridiculous and ******* doesn't understand English. I paid $600 gas for an empty house with just heat turned on to 58 degrees. The only thing ******* say is "You used more gas than usual", I wonder if someone here has to pay $1000 for gas and I am not surprised. DO NOT USE AMBIT AT ALL.

      I moved into a new residence. This company placed a switch hold on the residence. Blocked multiple attempts to get the switch hold lifted! It is not OK to punish a new tenant for a past tenant's transgressions. This company is a joke! If there were negative stars I would rate them -million! They will not let you speak to a supervisor. They do false promises of callbacks. It's like I am fearful my electricity will be cut off and I will go without because some human has the power to click deny on a switch hold for no reason whatsoever! I really hope what they do to others comes back tenfold! Maybe then they will have a better understanding of what their choices have on others! Like seriously, why s**** over someone because of someone else's issues? I HATE AMBIT energy!

      If I could give this company ZERO stars I would I've been with this company for two years and through out these last two year I've contacted them about my bills being as high as $160 for a 1 bedroom room and I'm never home... they told me during the summer to just turn on my ceiling fans in 103 degree weather to keep my bill down and that didn't work not to mention their employees are really rude and have an attitude working there and when I canceled my contract with them they want to charge me $200 early termination fee that by it's self is outrageous not to mention they charged me I believe $100-107 for dates December 27th to January 5th they are very high and expensive they will blow your phone up for canceling and all in your business about who did you switch to I have never heard of a 2 year contract for lights and it still be expensive it's a scam at this point this whole company is.
