      This company is very deceitful. They lie to get your business. I have feral cats I feed. My first concern, when Kindred came to my door. They said their product was pet friendly. After their first application I had more ants than I have ever seen, and I have lived here for over 10 years. My inside dog would not go outside, back yard, for several days. When she (my dog) decided it was safe to go outside it was days before she would leave the patio. After accessing the back yard she got skin allergies, she never had before, Now I have additional vet bills.Kindred showed up on a stormy day, asked me to put up all my pets for their safety. There is no way to put up feral cats. (This was already a main topic on our first meeting. No concern the first time but a concern once they have your business.) What they agreed to do on the first visit was not the understanding of the person that showed up the second time, Talking with Kindred , cancelling their service they said the gentlemen was new, It appears they do not take the time to properly train their employees. Cancelling their service they want you to call several numbers. During the conversation I asked the lady if she knew what feral cars are? She said yes but could not tell me. After cancellation they sent me notice of another appointment and then showed up a day early. Needless to say the first time , they said they gave me a discount because they were doing specials in our neighborhood. Another lie.I have not said anything in this review I have not already expressed to Kindred.

      The door to door tactics are deceptive. I was charged 20$ for initial payment and the guy poorly explained the payment agreement I'm regards to coming back 30 days later charging me 116 when I was under the impression They would come and I'd pay quarterly . This was incorrect and I found out about a 233$ cancellation fee after cancelling now I'm out 250$ that I could have avoided not opening my door and I still have bugs

      Serviced our home for a year and we always had ant piles in the yard and bugs in the house. We had to constantly have them out to service in between treatments and still had issues. Not worth it if we have to have them coming out constantly and spraying chemicals all over the yard and house that aren't effective. Don't waste your money.

      One of my outside cats passed away after Kindred sprayed around. I just thought the cat was too old and it was a coincidence. I always tried to lock them in the garage when the Kindred team came to spray but I wasn't always able to catch them all.

      After Kindred's next visit, a second of our outside healthy cats passed away. I called the office to ask for a service cancelation to protect my outside pets, they didn't find this a reasonable justification and continued to charge me a cancellation fee. Unacceptable to not show at least a bit of understanding and to charge the customers even though they lose their pets. We know we killed your pets, and we will still charge you to cancel our service. Never again.

      We're very sorry to hear about the loss of your pets and understand your frustration. We want to assure you that the safety of your family, including your pets, is our top priority. Our products are designed to be family and pet-friendly, and the same chemicals we use are trusted in hospitals and daycares nationwide. These treatments are derived from the chrysanthemum flower and are considered safe for both humans and animals. We do recommend that everyone, including pets, stay off the treated area for about 30 minutes after application to allow the product to properly soak in. While ingesting a large quantity of the treatment could cause some discomfort, nausea, or dizziness, it is not considered lethal.

      We also want to address the cancellation fee. As outlined in our service agreement, early termination of a service contract before its completion requires reimbursement of any discounts applied to the initial service. We make every effort to ensure our customers understand this policy at the time of signing. While we understand your distress, this policy is in place to ensure fair business practices. We would be happy to discuss your concerns further and perhaps explore alternative solutions within the terms of our agreement.       I will also say that it is a big scam going home to home and grasp people in their clutches. I want to cancel the service because right after the service my kids got rashes, the company came again and did service again, but the rashes got worse. Moreover, my son suffered allergy and asthma attack, I went to the doctor in emergency and then ENT and allergy specialist. All the doctors said there is something happened in home and that was only the service. In addition, my son underwent surgery because of this allergy. I explained everything to the company and they asked for doctors note, which I said I will provide but right at the next moment they change the statement that doctor should write a note to specify some element in the spray that boost allergy or I should go and test the chemicals to prove it. Is not it funny! Doctor is not a pesticide specialist or I am not a tester, that is on you that your service is safe and sound without any defect. Now they are threatening me with credit effect, mechanics lien etc. but in this case I will go ahead a sue you for everything our family has suffered and now pressurizing and threatening me to pay $195, for what, for our suffering?

      All our products are carefully selected with safety in mind, prioritizing family- and pet-friendly options. However, we acknowledge that individual sensitivities and underlying health conditions can vary. As outlined in our agreement, "all pesticides have some odor that may be present for a short time after application. If you or any member of your household is sensitive to chemical odor or chemicals, Kindred recommends that you consult your family physician prior to treatment."
      We understand that this may have caused inconvenience, and we want to reiterate the importance of considering potential sensitivities before our services. We strive to provide a safe and effective service for all our customers, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
      Regarding the $195 charge, we want to clarify that if the agreement is canceled before its completion, any discounts applied to the initial service must be reimbursed. In your case, this amounts to $180, with an additional $15 late fee due to the balance being overdue for 51 days.

      This company is not transparent at the beginning of sale into the company. Be careful, read your contract they don’t provide the services mentioned at start up. Then there is poor communication each technician has told me something different when coming to my house so you don’t get the same tech. I think the tech just say anything to get thru the unfinished job to make the customer happy. Kindred mentions the client has to tell them what is needed. I asked what is the normal service and why do I need to tell you all about your job? I was then told there are tiers to the services, which was not explained to me in the beginning. My services started in August. I have had 4 techs out at my house because of poor communication and the company not providing what was initially sold to me. I paid one time quarter fee. Then cancelled because I’m still not happy with their services and poor communication. I don’t want free services from these folks just a waste of my time of course they charged my credit card 225 for cancellation it’s a waste of time don’t deal with these folks at all. They get you signed up then charge that cancellation fee and give a I’m sorry, I’m tired of hearing I’m sorry proper training is needed for the sales staff and pest technicians. Be transparent please stop taking people money with poor services.

      Indoor rodent maintenance is included with your quarterly subscription; however, it requires your request to schedule appointments for placing traps and for us to return to dispose of them. We apologize for any confusion.

      Additionally, our outdoor rodent maintenance package includes bait boxes, which can be purchased separately for $50 each. Unfortunately, we cannot maintain bait boxes that are purchased from or placed by other companies due to our policy. If you received different information about these services, please let us know so we can investigate and address any discrepancies.

      We understand that clear communication is vital, and we are committed to improving our training for both our sales staff and technicians. Your feedback will help us ensure that all team members provide consistent and accurate information moving forward.

      I have had this company treating for 6 years and never have I had an issue with getting service done and being bug free. Of course in Houston bugs come back but these guys are always jolly on the spot ready to treat as soon as I ask. They only ever charge me after they come treat and the best part is I don't even have to be home for them to treat, they just take care of the whole outside! Everyone should check out this company bc I have never found another company that does as much as them. Especially with their mosquitoes treatments! Highly recommend.

      I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about the unsatisfactory service provided by Kindred Pest Control.
      I became a customer of this company in May 2024, following the wind storm in my city. Per our agreement with Kindred my house was to be serviced 30 days later. However, nobody arrived on the scheduled date. After a week of waiting, I called to request any available date for my home to get the service as promised, but my calls went unanswered. After several attempts, an appointment was made for the following week, yet once again, nobody showed up.
      After two and a half months of inconsistent service, I received an email stating that a technician would come on Friday, August 1, 2024. When I called to inquire about the missed appointments and the breach of our agreement, the representative ignored my concerns and blocked my phone number.
      In light of this experience, I am no longer willing to continue with Kindred Pest Control. To my dismay, I have been informed that I am required to pay $280 for not allowing the technician to work on my yard today. This demand is unreasonable given the subpar service and poor communication.
      I am requesting the immediate waiver of this charge and the cancellation of my contract without incurring any additional penalties. The service I have received falls well short of what was promised and what should be reasonably expected by any customer.
      This company was unable to address this issue promptly to prevent further escalation. My experience has been disappointing, and I would not recommend Kindred to anyone due to the unacceptable lack of communication and customer service. I strongly advise others to seek pest control services from a different company to save themselves time and avoid similar headaches.
