SwyftFilings has been charging me for charges that were hidden during checkout. After investigating online, I discovered that multiple other consumers have reported similar experiences, indicating this may be a recurring issue with SwyftFilings sales and billing practices. What is worse is that they continue to charge subscription fees for them to be a registered agent, and make it almost impossible to cancel those fees. In fact, the very rude agent, ****, told me that I could NOT cancel them being my registered agent and that I would continue to be charged even though I told her I do not want these services. She told me I had to "take it up with the state, but I will still be charged."The company hid or failed to clearly disclose other charges as well. This is very disappointing as I have used their services in the past and had no such issues. Sadly, I have also referred several nonprofit start-*** to Swyft Filings and am worried that they, too, are falling prey to these deceptive practices.I feel this practice is deceptive and misleading, as customers are not adequately made aware of the recurring costs associated with their services. I am seeking a full refund of the fees charged and request that Swyft Filings cancel any further billing for the registered agent service immediately.Business Response

I set up an llc through h&r block ,i paid all the fees to do so .a year later i get a bill from swift filling and they took ****** out of my account without my permission. I initiated a new LLC 3 weeks ago with Swyft filings as I had in the past. I was happy with their service. To my surprise, this company ( as mentioned in other comments below) has truly become predatory. They add charges after the fact of creating an LLC including 149 a month just to be the registered agent (which I specifically said and checked that I did not want.). They also list other charges on a dashboard and state they are Trial and then they charge you. Im curious as to what the 99 dollar initial charge to setup an LLC really got me? I ended up getting charged over 400 plus the Trial charges on the dashboard which you can only cancel by phone. If you cancel on the website, they just come back with a vengeance. What happened Swyft? You used to be a company I supported and relied on.Business Response

They are for *** me to have a subscription. I just wanted an LLC and now I am being bombarded with all these fees and subscriptions that I did not sign up for. You then denied my request for cancellation! You cannot force me to pay for a service I do not want?!?!?!? absolutely not. All I needed was the basic $125 fee and you continued to use my card for unauthorized purchases!!! When I was in college I used SwyftFilings to file a ******* As apart of this process, they automatically enrolled me to pay for their registered agent service (with no real indication they were going to do so). Over the years, the ****** has been neglected and fallen out of good standing with the state of ********. I've gotten legal advice that it's not worth my time, and effort to get the business back into good standing since I have no intention of ever using the entity again. I have tried to cancel my registered agent subscription with SwyftFilings (which I never wanted in the first place). You cannot cancel this subscription on their website which is obnoxious. So I called their CS number and the *** told me that the only way I could cancel this service is to formally dissolve the business. Eventually I told him I know I'm not legally obligated to maintain SwyftFilings registered agent service as long as the business is intact so please help me know what to do to cancel it. He then said that the only other option was to legally transfer the registered agent to someone else and only then are they allowed to cancel the service. That seemed weird to me, I know they aren't liable to ensure a corporation has a registered agent, and there must be a way for them to just stop being a registered agent. So I did some research and found out that any registered agent can resign as a registered agent at anytime for any reason, there's no obligation to continue being a business's registered agent. I then called their CS number again where I explained to the *** that I knew they were allowed to resign as my registered agent, he lied and said they can't and kept presenting to me ways to cancel that require getting my business in good standing, filing documents, and waiting a month. I have also sent an email on June 6th expressing my desire to cancel which have received no response, historically they have been responsive to email except when I want to cancel a subscription.Business Response

These people have been a thorn in my side ever since I registered with them. All I originally wanted to do was register my business as an LLC, but have been charged every few months for extra services I didnt want. When I tried to cancel, they said I would have to go though the state to cancel the subscription. I had accidentally registered my business twice, once as a LLC and once as a non-profit. I closed out the non-profit account as soon as I saw the mistake. When I filed my W-9 in February of this year, I accidentally wrote in the closed out non-profit *** number in the *** field. But instead of asking me if this was a mistake, Swyft started charging me back pay for an account I had closed out years before. They say I owed them $2k! I tried explaining that when I filed the W-9 that I made a mistake with the *** number, but they didnt listen. They say I still owe this amount even though I closed that account many many months ago. These people are shady at best, and take advantage of small businesses.Business Response

The account in question was canceled four years ago. Swyft filings reactivated the account without my permission. The photo is proof of this! These people are trying to claim that the account was reactivated by me? Wheres the evidence of this? I did not reactivate this account. They did because I accidentally wrote the deactivated account EIN number on my w-9. As soon as the w-9 was filed with the state, they themselves activated the account without my knowledge or permission, then charged me back pay. They are trying to extort money from me, and the evidence is right there. Once again the account theyre trying to get money from was cancelled in 2021. They are the ones that reactivated it without my permission.

this absolutely maddening. They are lying. I closed this account four years ago! I have the visual proof that it was cancelled. They re-opened the account without my knowledge or consent! Now they are trying to charge me backpay for an account they re-opened illegally. *** already contacted consumer fraud agencies, and also a pro-bono attorney. They continue to harass me for money I dont owe them.

I had set up an *** for my new venture over 2 years ago. Through out the months I started to see fees of $99 on monthly basis. When called the merchant, they said that you had signed up and elected **** to be the agent for the *** created. I told them that I must have selected that feature by accident, since I already have a CPA and he does my filings for me. On April 11, 2024, a promotion was applied to your account, changing your subscription to an annual fee of $99 (billed every 12 months). If you wish to designate your CPA as your registered agent, you can contact the Secretary of State to update your registered agent information.

Swyft filing has an option on their web site when you log in. The option is to end any active subscriptions you have with them. When you select the option to end the subscription, you are prompted that your request to end The subscription has been submitted. This is a scam that they are running. and pulling in millions from. You see, that's all the button does. nobody contacts you. Nobody ends your subscription. They just keep pulling money from your account until you call to complain. I am currently trying to get a refund and end my subscription. They want me to pay more money to file an amendment. What is a whole process and then they can end my subscription. They don't even want to talk about a refund. I don't know how many people they are getting with this but I can only imagine. they have stolen 149 from me so far and they say they are unable to remove my payment method and there is no option on the website to remove my payment method. please help.Business Response

My company contracted with Swyft to process an application to trademark our corporate logo in April of 2024. The company has been non-cooperative in the process - I have asked multiple times for assistance & have received none - only form emails. And also getting the runaround when I call the number posted on their website - it's always "you have to call another number" which ends up going straight to voicemail.We would simply like to get the trademark done as contracted for - with Swyft assuming the work related to this process.
