We are the Mechanic shop who did the installation of the first transmission for client who has a warranty from Aer Precision Transmissions **** We replaced the first transmission on 7/15/2022. Everything was fine we got paid and everybody is happy. *he customer came back on 6/22/2023 after 7k miles complains that his van won't move. *he customer brought his van on a towing truck. We did diagnostic on it we found out that the transmission is shot. Called AER they said open a claim with APS (it seems they are another company) and get back to us for labor reimbursement. Opened claim with APS , they asked for bunch of information about the condition of the transmission and implement some procedures. After that APS decided that the transmission is bad. APS send us a replacement trans to be installed. We installed the replacement trans and the problem is fixed. We send the invoice to AER on 6/22/2023 for the installation labor and trans fluid reimbursement. *** refused to pay the labor cost for the second replacement because they think that the transmission was low on fluid. *heir claim is not true because they send a check list and guidelines with each replacement transmission, we have to follow to the * otherwise they will void the warranty. Do you believe that a mechanic with more than 15 years experience in the field forget to check the transmission fluid of newly replaced trans!!! *heir final decision came after a month of the runarounds. Run away from this business. Can not be trusted.

I purchased a transmission in 12/2021 through my local mechanic who purchased the transmission through Midway Auto, the transmission and warranty came from Precision Transmissions Group. The transmission broke May 1, 2022, a replacement Trans was sent but warranty only covers $50 per hour labor. The second transmission was installed but would not work, never even left the shop. A third transmission had to be installed. Warranty will not pay for installation of 2nd transmission. So after original purchase of trans I now have to pay $1,358.00 for installation of 2 more transmissions and have not had my vehicle for 2 months. I tried to resolve with warranty department but I was told by **** at the ******************* that I was not going to speak to his supervisor, "my supervisor is the owner and pays me a lot of money, so he doesn't have to speak to people like you". Junk transmissions and junk employees!!!

I just looked into this claim. There has been no refusal of payment on the claims. Based on the claim data, the installer or vehicle owner refuses to let the transmissions be returned. If the transmissions can be picked up and returned, claims can be paid.

Here are the invoices for the 2 transmission the customer has a manufactures warranty only Please pay R/F direct

That said, as the manufacturer, we are only responsible for the claim payments and the warranty coverage. The coverage is ***** per hour based on the ALLDATA labor guide and any shipping costs related to parts or complete units going back and forth. The warranty is stated in the sales documentation that are with the unit. Any warranties added or other sales related promises would be the responsibility of the distributor Midway Auto Parts. We do not see what they offer or cover in addition to the manufacturers warranty. Any refund demands must be addressed with the seller.

If the units can be returned, we can proceed with claim payment.

      Thank you,
