I paid Property Tax Protest $345.83 to help me lower the property taxes on two houses I own. In reality the taxes only went down by about $25.46 On the other house the property taxes went up by $997.30 I contacted the company on November 8, 2024 but as of yet they have done absolutely nothing even after communication with an individual named ****** *****. He had many excuses like if fell off his radar and then he was off from work. Those are all excuses because it has already been 3 weeks. I think they are a very dishonest company that just took advantage of me. I need for BBB to intervene for me.

    Hello,

There was confusion as to where the reduction came; while it did not directly impact the client's appraised value, it impacted their market value; per our service agreement (signed by *****):

"Reduction shall be the difference between the Market (not Assessed or Homestead Capped) Value proposed by the Appraisal
District and the Market Value resulting from PTPs efforts heretofore or hereafter made. For example, if the Proposed Market
Value is $525,000 and PTP obtains a Reduced Market Value of $475,000, then the fee would be $500, being 1.0% of the
    Reduction.
However, if Owners Assessed (or Homestead Capped) Value is less than the value to which PTP has reduced its Market Value
then the fee shall be reduced by half to 0.5% of the Reduction in consideration of the fact that Owners tax savings may
therefore be delayed to a future year. "

A service agreement was signed by ***** upon registration (attached). I've also attached a screenshot of the reply that ***** received explaining the benefits of services which contained proof of each reduction that she was charged for. Please let me know if there is any information needed in order for this to be settled. Thank you,

    PTP.

Received offer in the mail-I did not respond. I did not engage their services. They claim a reduction in taxes. I have received no notice or indication that property taxes have reduced. I have requested a copy of the contract, email or audio recording of me accepting their services.

Thank you for notifying us of this complaint.

We received this client's registration on May 22nd of 2022. Attached is the signed service agreement which was signed on that date, as well as the Appointment of Agent form which authorizes us to protest property tax matters on the client's behalf.  We are an automatic renewal service. We sent multiple communications reminding the client of the renewal, which explained how to easily opt out prior to any protest work being done in 2023.

In addition to this, we have included the board order that we received from Harris County ********************** proving that we did in fact obtain a reduction, which saved the client around $970 on their property tax bill, after building out a case and attending the *** hearing on the client's behalf.

We attempted to reach the client via phone on two separate occasions and sent numerous emails over a 3-4 month period prior to sending the bill to collections and did not receive any response.

If there is any other information you require to resolve this complaint, please reach out to us. Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:  the signature on the agreement is not mine. It is an obvious attempt to copy my signature. A very poor attempt.  *** mobile number listed is my landline number, not my mobile number.  This is a fraud attempt from a company with a *** store as its business address. I do not live at yhe property I own in ****, *****. If this company  stated that they represented me at a government hearing, they have committed a fraud.  *** only acceptable resolution is the withdrawal of their attempt to collect funds from me and a letter stating they were in error and did not have my permission to represent me in this or any other matter.

The signature was signed electronically through DocuSign. A confirmation email was sent by us at the time of signature to the client's email address that was used to sign up, which included the signed documents as attachments. The phone number listed is the number that was filled out by the client. We represented the client's property at the hearing per the terms of our service agreement, after sending multiple emails to you prior to work being done this year. These emails included reminders on the renewal for this year, how to cancel, and information about the process and the work we will do on your behalf.

Our company upheld our end of the service agreement, provided appropriate notice of the renewal, and obtained significant property tax savings for the client.

We have included attachments from DocuSign and our ***** Service Provider, MailChimp. The attachment from DocuSign shows the documents were signed in DocuSign electronically. The attachments from MailChimp shows our email communications to the client throughout 2023, including the screenshots of some of the emails that were sent.
