Important information
- Additional Info:On December 1, 2015, BBB notified Professional Doc Prep of concerning patterns in consumer complaints.
Specifically, BBB has received complaints from consumers alleging that Professional Doc Prep, LLC seeks to confuse or deceive consumers by presenting itself as if the company has the same authority as the government entity, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), by offering and accepting applications for a federal Employee Identification Number (EIN) for a fee. Consumers complain that this service is actually offered for free via IRS.
Consumer complaints further allege that Professional Doc Prep, LLC fails to cancel services when consumers request before or after Professional Doc Prep, LLC has begun to perform services. Some consumers report being denied cancellation of services when they called within hours of requesting services.
BBB requested the company's voluntary cooperation in eliminating the identified pattern.
After initially responding, as of February 5, 2016, Professional Doc Prep has failed to resolve these issues.
