1 starThis company is a cheat and a scammer. My electric bill suddenly tripled when apparently my contract was up. No notice, no renewal option, no notification of rate increase, nothing. Now I'm stuck with a whopping ***** deferred billing total because my dumb a** didn't notice for 3 months because I'm on a budget billing and only looked at the amount due. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Clearview Energy

All account-related documents were sent to the mailing address provided during the customers online enrollment. For reference, the customer confirmed this address during her cancellation request call, on March 7, 2025. The original contracts terms of service were mailed on November 8, 2023. As required by PA regulations, Clearview sent two renewal noticesone on June 21, 2024, and another on July 6, 2024. Additionally, for customers in ************, ********************** is required to send a rate change notification at least 30 days in advance. The initial rate change notice was mailed on November 8, 2024, followed by a second notice on December 9, 2024. Clearview maintains records of any customer documents returned to the corporate office as undeliverable. In this case, there is no record of returned mail, so Clearview has no reason to believe that documents related to this account were not successfully delivered.Review fromLisa P

Clearview understands the customers concerns after reviewing the 12/23/24 and the 2/24/25 **************** calls for this account. When the customer requested to cancel, on 12/23/24, the supply service does not cancel the same day; the cancellation order request is sent to the utility, who then establishes an accounts cancellation date Eversource set 1/16/25 as the drop date. The Eversource bill dated 2/19/25 includes Clearviews final supply charges, for service from 12/17/24 to 1/15/25; the ********** bill that will generate in March 2025 will be for service from January to February and will not list Clearview as her supply service. Furthermore, the postcard that asks Youve switched? is sent to customers when a cancellation order is processed to ensure they are aware of their service cancelling as there have been instances where a customer is unaware; this customer can disregard this postcard.Review frommayra s

1 starThis company is simply taking advantage of individuals already going struggling by offering a so called discount. My bill previously was coming in from $120.00 dollars a month now it comes for about 400 a month because of the supplier charge of $230.00 a month. Could you imagine the supplier charge coming in for double what I actually use in KWh a month. I'm mind boggled they need to be sued and shut down. Never received any notice of increases ever. Apparently I signed up sometime in 2022.Clearview Energy

1 starScammers, they came to my doorstep, knocked on my door, proceeded to harass me about how they could make my electricity bill cheaper. Skimmed the entire contract with me, went too fast couldnt let me read the finer details Next 3 bills of electricity were all doubled after this interaction. Do not trust them. I used to pay 120 max for electricity. Since may it has been 300 dollars and now Im getting a 270 dollar refund. Who is doing the math? Why do you come to peoples homes to bother them? Horrible horrible experience, very close to getting my lawyer involved with this situationClearview Energy

We have reviewed the account and despite having a signed agreement by the customer, ********************** agreed to a courtesy re-rate. The customer was refunded the difference between the rate charged by Clearview and the rate offered by the local utility for the full service period while with Clearview. The details of the refund calculations were provided to the customer as well. ********************** take these matters very seriously and we believe we have done everything in our power to accommodate the customers concernsReview fromMargaret L

1 starIf it were possible I would not give any stars at all. The employees of this company are extremely rude and unprofessional towards their potential clients. On more than one occasion different employees have engaged in verbal disputes with potential clients, lied about what company they work for and who they were with (what group of ppl they were with walking the streets of **). They have lied about working for ******* and would not give their names when asked. They have also retaliated against potential clients who did not want their service by ringing their doorbells endlessly, nonstop until they leave the area. They are uncouth, rude, unprofessional, belligerent liars that represent the company in the worst possible way.Clearview Energy

1 starIn January of 2024, Clearview sent me a bill of $1,702.26. During my first year with them, my rate was at ******; reasonable and affordable. After my first year, they put me on an adjusted rate that skyrocketed by more than double my first year rate resulting in the drastic increase of my bill. My bill went from $124-$156 per month to $1,702.26 per month. As a small business owner, I do not have the ability or funds to pay for it. I called Clearview to see my options of whether my bill could be lowered or for help with the bill but they refused to help me. Every time I called, they said a supervisor or manager was not available and was in a meeting. Do not use Clearview energy because they do not care about their customers and will not attempt to help you with your needs. Clearview electric has been nothing but a pain and I will not return to their services. I am just letting people know not to use clear services.Clearview Energy

1 starSigned up with them a couple years ago. I felt good about the price because it was close to what I was paying. Then as time went on the bill was higher and (shame on me) I didn't really look at it. When I called customer service they said my old contract with them expired and I didn't sign up for a new contract. They had me on a "flexible rate" program. 27.6 cent per kilowatt! I said I never received any "renew notice" and never had any idea the original offer was going to expire. They gouged me pretty good. Find someone else to supply your electricity unless you like being taken for a ride. I wish could leave them negative stars...Clearview Energy

I reviewed the account and found the enrollment took place on 01/23/2017 via a DTD sales representative. The customer completed a third party verification, and agrees to switch to Clearview Energy as his supplier. The customer agrees to a variable rate starting at $0.1099 per kilowatt hour. A promotional variable rate product with a rate assurance for any bill with Clearview Energy supply charges processed before the March 31, 2017 meter read; any utility bill processed after this date will receive Clearview Energys standard variable rate that *** fluctuate month-to-month. The customer did not contact CVE at the end of his rate assurance period and continued on to the standard variable rate plan. A welcome kit with this information was sent to the customer via mail as well as rate change notices as required in the state of ********.Clearview Energy
