  I love my lawn guys! They always leave my yard looking the best on the entire street. I definitely recommend Emerald Yards!They do not disappoint!

  Contacted Emerald Yards late March 2023, for an estimate on treatment of our yard. ***** came on March 29,2023, and went over what could be done to enhance the yard. Everything sounded good at which time we entered a contract for the year to be paid starting At $29.92, and seven payments of $137.00. Each time his crew came out they were there about 10 min. During this time I spoke to ***** numerous times on how the condition of my yard was deteriorating and that there was many problems. He told me that things would be fixed, they were not. The yard just kept getting worse. At onetime I told ***** that I had an ongoing ant infestiation that was not handled at which time I put poision on the ant hill. I received an Email from ***** stating he did not know what I had put down an it could create a problem. What he said in the email was not what I told him, to wit I responded. The yard kept going down hill. There were times due to rain or equipment problems ******* team would not show up, with no notification. I was able to make an arrangement with ***** to have our last two treatments done in the first of the 2024 season. Well, it is now mid April and nothing from *****. As in the past I have treated my lawn with great success. I should point out that if I did not have a contract with Emerald Yards I would have stopped the treatments when the yard started going down hill. ******************* owes two treatments, I don't want. A word of advice from my prespective DON'T use Emerald Yard services. Either do it your self or hire a company that knows what they are doing

  Thank you for informing Emerald Yards of your kind review, please be advised that we would like to take the time to politely respond to your "review" of Emerald Yards while at the same time break it down. In doing so, we ask the reader to please read the information given you in the most objective, unbiased way, to wit, there are always two sides to each story. In careful consideration, and without further ado, this is what happened. I came out to your property sometime 2022 and went over all our plans as well as our recommendations, answering all your questions, after leaving your property, Emerald Yards had not heard back from you until the following year, you then again reached out to us requesting our services, (a year later), you signed up in March of 2023, it was at that time we proceeded with our work. You elected to pay your services month to month rather than in full. Your first application, core aeration, was $29.95 completed March 2023. At onetime, I had informed you that your irrigation system was not adequately covering your lawn resulting in a few spray heads needing to be moved to an area for better coverage. I recall that nearly each and every time we were out there, you requested services (not in your plan) with no intention of paying, as we obliged. I completely understand that there will be times a customer has a request, we as the contractor should go that extra mile to satisfy a customers request, however, as time went on, I consider changing our name to "UNICEF" file as a none profit organization with all our fulfilled none obligations. You asked if there was a penalty fee for early cancellation, I replied, "absolutely not", in fact, as outlined at our website, which has been made public since the inception of our site and company. A customer may, at ANYTIME, cancel their annual agreement, and without any reason, anyone shall receive a full 100% refund on any unused applications if your plan was paid in full, otherwise, you may, at anytime, cancel your annual agreement, stopping all work without reason and without penalty. Emerald Yards has always consider placing our customers first with "peace of mind" knowing that no one should be tied into anything they are not happy with. You say, "I should point out that if I did not have a contract with Emerald Yards I would have stopped the treatments when the yard started going down hill". In response to that statement, again, at anytime you could've stopped the work and address your concerns, but that never happened. You end with, "A word of advice from my prespective DON'T use Emerald Yard services" In response, Emerald Yards has serviced hundreds of lawns, every now and then we may get a single star review from an upset customer that had never addressed any of their concerns to us other than to ask if we can do this, or do that while feeling obligated to appeasing our customer I now completely understand what it was my father once said to me. You can please some of your customers some of the time, you just can't please all your customers all of the time. Have a blessed day sir.

  I engaged Emerald Yards to raise an existing bed in the back yard, remove some trees and bushes, and create two new beds in the front and a small one in the back. Also had them clear a former dog-run for **************** of a raised-bed vegetable/herb garden. All of the crew were asked to keep the back gate closed and latched, as my dog needs to go out on occasion to do her business. I found the gate propped open with a stone and when I went to close it, the latch and bottom hinge were bent and almost completely pulled out from the wood due to slamming in the wind. Pointed this out and was told it would be repaired. Its still not fixed.What should have been a one-week (at most) project turned into more than three weeks; with over one week of no contact. I was told on a Friday that they would return Saturday (the next day) and didnt hear anything for 10 days. This was after a round of texts discussing the importance of communication. The shrubs and trees that were removed were supposed to have their roots either removed or drilled and filled with root killer. Neither was done. Just flush-cut with the grade.According to the invoice, I paid for a Lawn Levelling but just got a top-dressing. In a prior discussion, I was told the levelling would be a sand/compost mix (also described on their website). There was never any sand used.Also discussed (but not in any documentation) was a small 8-10 inch strip between the home and back sidewalk that was supposed to be cleaned of rocks and debris. I was told this would be taken care of. Still looks the same.Overall, the outcome is just barely satisfactory. Not stellar. I was hoping for more attention to detail and a better customer experience, as I prefer to do business with local entities who tend to do a better job than the national franchises.

  I'm sorry not all work met your expectations, I was informed by the superintendent that the latch on your gate was already broken, rusted, and the bolt was loose, however, I will send my crew back out there to repair the latch, and remove the small pile of rocks from your garden, as for the leveling, we did use a leveling machine applying far more compost to your front and back lawn than what was quoted. The homeowners were informed of a chinch bug and grub problems, the reason for more compost then sand is due to the fact that there is absolutely no nutrients in sand, whereas the compost will not only help neutralize the ** levels in your soil, but also help promote new growth in the ************* front lawn, and ******* at the back. As the owner of Emerald Yards, I wanted to make sure you would see results over time, however, if you feel not enough was done or materials applied to help level the low areas in your lawn please give me call and we will resolve that issue, as for the ongoing work, we were faced with trying to figure out the best solution in completing your retaining wall "built by others", we completed the work that was not completed by others, I even informed you that they had started at the low area of ground and worked backwards, and in between redesigning their work, and reworking the entire front retaining walls we were also dealing with shortage of bricks, weather, rain, and delays as well as change in scope of work. I am entirely at the mercy of our supplier, our estimate was originally 450 bricks, however, to complete the entire project including what was started by someone else the project took 610 bricks. I'm sorry I did not shop around to get the project done in a more timely manner, but I do not like to try and match bricks from one supplier to the next just in case the color does not match. I prefer to take all safety measures making sure all materials are purchased from the same supplier to elevate issues. In closing, I will have the crew fix the handle on your fence to the very best of their ability, and have them remove the small pile of rocks from your garden. As for leveling, please give me a call anytime between 8-5pm, and I will work something out. I do not want you to feel as though we did not do our very best in accommodating all your needs, or meet all your expectations as customer service is very important to *************************

  Thank you Emerald Yard's, for installing my irrigation system and taking care of killing the weeds in my yard. How did I come about this company, I've went on Next Door App and ask for recommendations on who can suggest a company I can reach out to install an irrigation system at my home.I had a total of 5 mens that came out to my home to provide me an estimated. The best part is yet to come, a gentleman by the name of *****, he show professionalism, he knew the type of grass I had in my lawn and he was very knowledgeable of his work, I was sold, when he spoke on what he was going to do and he provided me with the expectation of the service he will be installing and on how I can controlled the irrigation system by the touch of my cell phone. Then he pulls out his phone to show me his yard fron his camera, within using the app, I saw how was able to control his irrigation system, just by setting the timer to turn/off on the system, that was a wow moment for me. If you decide to go with Eremald Yards you will not be disappointed, ***** also had all of the paperwork I needed to submit to my HOA and within 10days, I was approved to have Eremald Yards to come out to installed the irrigation system at home.I'm a happy satisfied customer.Thank you so much *****, for taking the time to come back out to my home to explain on how to operate the irrigation system, because I was at work when the job was completed.Emeralds Yard's is number #1 in my book to reach out to take care of lawn, do not go anywhere else's, I promise you, thier work is far exceptional ??

  *****, the owner, is a hands on service provider. He is knowledgeable, and responsive. You rarely find that in a lawn service company. I take pride in having learned a bit about lawn health myself and ***** always gets it right. If he doesn't get it right he takes it personally and will do all that he can to make it right.
