I received a DROP BOX link to sign for a loan that I have no clue what it's for and I DID NOT apply for. There are many scams occurring in the ** with people getting information online and trying to get loans fraudulently. How can a company legally allow a bad actor to apply for a loan without proper documentation to check if it's the actual person applying and not some scam?

    Ms. *******,

VIP Mortgage Inc. never sent out anything to you via email.  Our name was plucked from the internet and attached to the message sent by someone else.  Please note that the email address you received the email from was NOT VIP Mortgage Inc.  All of our email addresses end with @**********.  The email address that sent you the email is not ours, and upon reviewing emails they should always be reviewed before opening if not recognized.  There is nothing we can physically we can do to stop these.  I have attached an example of the email that another person received.  This person was an IT EVP/CMO, I have blocked his contact information on the attachment, but even he states that there is nothing that can be done about this. We have received numerous notifications of this.

Also, we are not licensed nor are we located in ****** where you are located.  This can be determined by accessing the National Mortgage Licensing System or ********.

The best course of action is to delete anything you do not recognize. If you are not sure confirm that the email address you are receiving the email from is valid and from company that is "sending" you the email from.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ***** ******
