I purchased a 2017 Infiniti QX60 ( VIN: *****************) from a dealership out of state, Dallas Auto Direct. (************************************) on December 1, 2023. Months after having the vehicle, I began to have problems ( white smoke coming from exhaust). Over the next months the vehicle was brought to the Infiniti dealership( **** ****** Infiniti, 3700 N. Causeway, Metairie, **) where oil changes and multipoint inspections were performed.( receipts attached). I then took the vehicle to **** *********** ******************************) for diagnostics, where I was told engine's fan needed replacement. Using the extended warranty that was purchased with the vehicle (*******************) the vehicle's fan covered by warranty and replaced. August 2024, the vehicle was brought back to **** ********* for engine noise. According to the mechanic, the timing chain needed to be replaced. The warranty company covered a portion of the repairs, leaving me with a deductible and remaining balance. November 2024, the vehicle completely shut off as I was driving on the interstate. It was towed back to **** *********, and I was told that sludge was found in the engine and a new motor was needed. However, the warranty company has denied the claim. I have sent proof and all documents of all oil changes proving that the negligence of this vehicle was not caused by me. The dealership Dallas Auto Direct has been nearly impossible to get in contact with. Suspecting that they have changed names and location. I believe they now go by or are affiliated with One Legacy Motors, *************) and/or Car Place Motors. When inquiring about Dallas Auto Direct, these businesses has been sending me in circles, leaving me in suspicion of the legitimacy of this business.

I am rejecting this response because: I have made numerous calls to Dallas Direct as well as One Legacy Motors.

According to a ****** review left, It states that Dallas Auto Direct is now known as One Legacy Motors.( see attached file)

After speaking with someone at One Legacy Motors at the phone number *************. I was told that there was no affiliation with Dallas Auto Direct which cannot be true simply because someone responded to my review stating that Dallas Auto Direct is now One Legacy Motors.

A representative from One Legacy Motors called and texted me the names and phone numbers of the staff at "Dallas Auto Direct".(One Legacy Motors)

    **** ******** (finance manager)- *************

    Fady (owner) - *************

    Hadi (owner)- *************

I believe that all of these businesses are somehow connected.

I just need a resolution to my problem.

My son and I purchased a vehicle on November 8, 2024. Vehicle had to have insurance for the finance company. My son paid for auto insurance (*********************************) and was emailed an insurance ID card with his name on it. My son was in an accident this morning. When I called to put in a claim, the insurance company said they have no record of ever insuring our vehicle. I called the dealership and spoke with the sales manager (****) and he said the transaction was between the salesman and customers. This was the dealership's employee, they left the insurance section of sales contract blank and they sent untrue insurance coverage information to the finance company.

    Business Response

We do not sell insurance, nor have we ever sold insurance. Please contact your insurance agent to handle this issue. Thanks

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/27/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   The issue is not you selling insurance.  The issue is your salesman ****** told my son he could get him insurance for the vehicle.  Your sales manager even said the dealership deals with a list of insurers which is provided to your customers at time of purchase.  The insurance offered to my son was not valid and the policy number belongs to another individual.  Furthermore, my son, myself and the finance company were deceived that we purchased valid insurance before leaving your lot.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/27/2024

It is the customers responsibility to verify all and/or any 3rd party products. We do not offer insurance services and we dont have record of any assistance with such services. It is common for insurance agents to require payment and binding of insurance policies to make them active. Please check with your insurance agent to see what happened. If you made any payments to the policy please provide proof of such payments. You should also have signed agreements. Please provide all necessary proof and we can have a staff member research for you.

I found out that at the time of purchase of this vehicle my son's drivers license was suspended at the time of purchase.  I work at a car dealership and we do not sell vehicles to individuals who do not have a valid drivers license.  Why was this vehicle sold without verifying the validating the drivers license?

Also cannot provide insurance information when it was not given to myself or son at the time of purchase.  We called the insurance company and they do not have our info and the policy number belongs to someone else.  You keep asking me to contact them we have. Again, your dealership was wrong not following the proper procedures and legal processes in selling a vehicle.  Not verifying valid drivers license and allowing vehicle to leave with proper vehicle insurance.

I am rejecting this response because:   Dealership did not verify drivers license was valid at time of sale and salesman obtained fraudulent insurance coverage.  Dealership failed to properly execute this transaction legally and properly.

This matter with Dallas Auto Direct has not been resolved.  This business sold a vehicle without verifying the driver's license of the person they were selling to was valid, especially since the buyer's license was from out of state.  I work for a car dealership in ******* and the first thing we do is verify the person interested in purchasing a vehicle has to have a valid drivers license before even test driving the vehicle.  Why did this business not do this from the beginning?

Dont walk away from Dallas Autos Direct - RUN! - THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! - LESS THAN ZERO MORALS!Before reading about my absolute nightmare of a vehicle purchase experience from these ABSOLUTE LIARS , SCAMMERS, THIEVES , dont take my word for it run a cursory search for dealer ratings and other buyers feedback for DALLAS AUTOS DIRECT or DIRECT AUTOS DALLAS or H&F MOTORS!It's an endless stream of bad reviews, raw deals and incredulous customers with each persons experience seemingly worse than the next. You seriously cant make tup just how horrifically they have treated past customers and you will see a trend where these customers are confused as to why and how the CRIMINALS at DALLS AUTOS DIRECT are still in business when they were supposedly being shut down.Every new customer review detailing a matching discourse of being lied to about the condition of cars, trying to get resolution and having these SCAMMERS kick the can down the road hoping they will just go away. Given limited space - here is a fraction of my ************* SUMMARY,They lied about the car being a ONE OWNER to get me to purchase. They lied about the ignition problem being a known issue they were already in the processes of fixing. They lied about the ignition problem being a simple part fix. They lied about the 'fix' being completed the following week of purchase. They refused to acknowledge the ignition problem and *every single person* I worked with for months trying to gain resolution to my plight all left the company. They have put me off for almost a full year! The DALLS AUTOS DIRECT GM called me Fuckface! After deciding they weren't going to fix the car or trade me into a working vehicle, the car was towed back to y house WITH THE WRONG KEY Ive been asking them for OVER TWO MONTHS and they STILL HAVENT RETURNED MY ONLY KEY!I have the names and contact information for every person I dealt with at Dallas Autos Direct as well as all the fraudulent docs.

I bought a car from Dallas Auto Direct and paid $5,200 cash. The car lasted 2 weeks and only 594 miles before the transmission completely went out, costing me $6,500 to have it repaired. I reached out to my sales person ****** and to the manager. I was told it's not their problem as it was sold as is. I feel like they should at least pay half of the repairs due to their negligence to properly check out the car completely like stated at the time of purchase. They said all fluids were changed and checked, if that was the case they would had seen all the metal shavings in the transmission fluid and known it was damaged and disclose that information to the buyer. I know the fluids were changed because it had new fluids in the oil and transmission, leaving me to believe that they new about the problem and didn't disclose it to me. I feel like this business is shady and ran by con men. I would like at least half of the repairs paid directly to myself.

Customer is welcome to bring vehicle in for a trade in. All vehicles come with an option to purchase a service contract to avoid these instances. The customer did not purchase the contract and purchased the vehicle as is. We will give them a very reasonable trade valuation towards any other vehicle they want to purchase even with the mechanical damages they incurred.

I recently purchased a used ******** on the website car gurus. After going through 2 salesmen and 1 sales manager I was finally told we had a deal and they would deliver the car the next morning. No delivery was made and was told I had to come up with another $100 for down payment which I sent by *****. still no car so I made arrangements with work to pick it up during my lunch hr. When I get there to sign the paperwork I was rushed through the process and nobody went over the agreement with me because we were interrupted by the service manager telling me the convertible top needed a motor because it was functioning slow and they had the car tore down and couldn't be driven. I left without the car and the salesman said he would personally deliver it that evening. No delivery nobody answered my emails text or phone calls. next day was the same could not contact left messages service sales *************** was delivered some time at night it was dropped off unlocked with the keys and paperwork on the front seat. The top was not slow it was inoperable. Looking over the paperwork I see the offer they agreed to and they sales contract are totally different. I took it back to have them fix the top and the part they said it needed didn't fix it so once again they were not returning my attempt to get info on when it would be fixed. I am spending o fortune on **** and Lyft. and once again I drive out there to pick it up and the fuel tank was empty I had more than 1/2 tank when idropped it off. they are supposed to be ordering another part but when my son called and asked about it they didn't know anything about it. Can you please help me with problem or point me in the direction I need to be going. I have sent this same letter to you about 3 week ago, and filed a complaint with TX DMV and with car gurus and have not heard from anybody on how to handle this situation

Subject: Official Complaint Regarding 2019 ************* Purchase To Whom It May Concern,I am filing an official complaint regarding the purchase of a 2019 ************* from [dallas direct ]. When I purchased the vehicle, several critical issues were either hidden or not properly disclosed.on 04/12/2024 Before finalizing the purchase, I noticed the warning light was on and the car was leaking. Despite this, I was instructed to take it to service after purchase, even though these issues were apparent at the time of sale. I have since discovered that the car has an electrical problem, which explains the warning lights. This major issue was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I went back on 04/14/2024 to let them know the problem also the service manager stated that is because the car was sitting for a long time that the battery was not malfunctioning properly so to me to drive it ****** to ****** mile to get to reset it I did that and came back in July and they took a look at it again and stated that they didnt see a problem, but the despite the light still been on and despite the issues, I was here with the brake system he reset it everything and told me to re-drive it and give it a little time I came back on September and they stated he quit While the car was sold as is, Texas Lemon Laws clearly protect consumers from undisclosed problems that affect the functionality and safety of the vehicle. I feel this dealership knowingly sold me a defective vehicle, and as a result, I have been unable to drive it for several months. This situation demonstrates a failure to conduct business ethically and transparently. I am seeking one of the following resolutions:1.Full repair of the vehicle at no cost to me.2.Replacement of the vehicle.3.A full refund of my payments.I expect the dealership to take immediate action to resolve this matter. Failure to do so will leave me no choice but to escalate further through legal channels.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/27/2024

The issues addressed with the battery are not the same issues the customer is having. Also the vehicle passed a state safety check on the state website. *********** shows passing emissions. Also, the consumer declined any service contracts we offered. They are welcome to trade in towards something else at the current appraised value.

I purchased a 2020 ********** last month from Dallas Auto direct and I wasnt able to get the car because the breaks needed to be fixed. I keep getting told my car will be ready one day and then the day will come they keep pushing it back. I went inside of there and seen my car just sitting not getting worked on. They also been driving and running my miles up. So Its been a month I still havent received my new vehicle

The vehicle has a part on back order. The customer did originally take the vehicle home and brought it back for service. We took it in for a service at no charge and are currently waiting on the part to be delivered, it is not being driven. If the customer needs the vehicle they can come pick it up as it is safe to drive. We can call them in when the part comes in, but we can't control how long that part delivery takes as most ********** parts are special order.

I bought a 1998 Mercedes C43 AMG from them. I received it 30 days after I wired the money because they said they were fixing issues causing the car to choke and stall while driving. Finally they said all issues are resolved and they allowed me to have the car picked up by a shipper. The day the car arrived it stalled out in the first mile I drove the car. It has other undisclosed issues but this is the most major one. I contacted the dealership the next day and *** told me he would inform the General Manager about the issues. I called 4 days in a row after that and *** and the general manager ignored my calls and my voicemails. Havent heard from them. The car is not driveable and dangerous. I want to return it.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/31/2024

As always, we are happy to discuss trades on purchased vehicles. This is a specialty vehicle and requires delicate understanding of the older technology involved. Upon researching the repairs completed we found that the issues address did make the vehicle safe to drive. Any stalling for that kind of engine can be attributed to old fuel deposits and we would be happy to address or communicate with your local mechanic if you want to try and remedy the issue again. Please feel free to contact us anytime to discuss trade options.

    Thank You

    Customer Answer

    Date: 10/31/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   The cars gas tank was changed by the dealer, therefore there is no issue of old fuel deposits.  Stalling out and shutting off is also not the only issue with the vehicle.  The condition is terrible overall none of which was disclosed to me.  If the dealer had any interest in being honest and working with me the way they stated in their response, they would have returned my phone calls and not waited to respond to an inquiry from BBB 6 weeks after my phone calls and voice mails.

They sold me a car with a missing seat belt and bad breaks. They claim they did a safety inspection. But with the breaks as bad as they are I dont see how it is safe. They are trying to charge me to repair the breaks. I bought the car in mid August 2024. So about 4 weeks ago. They claim the care is safe, but right now I cant even drive it because it isnt safe. I would like them to make this right. And fix the breaks.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/19/2024

We send all vehicles to a 3rd party emissions and safety inspection. 4 weeks later is subject to how the customer has been driving the vehicle. We can gladly fix the brakes at cost to the consumer if that is the problem.

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.
They have agreed to address my concerns in a timely manner. The Manager set up an appointment with the service department to have my brakes fixed.

Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
