    So I actually paid $4,950 for a cdl class at ACC. And *********************** the ancora education *** at ACC has been giving me a hard time regarding my refund because he said apparently you only have two weeks to quit the class to get a refund, but I informed him I wasnt going to be able to continue the class within the first two weeks because the instructors were treating the students poorly and I just couldnt learn anything with the way they were teaching. And I started my classes the 19th of august 2024 and informed *************** the 28th of august 2024. But now hes saying I only had 72 hours after the classes started to get my refund and I havent seen anything of this on paper. He then decided to hang up on me in our phone call because I was trying to discuss the refund but he slowly built up a attitude and hung up on me saying that the phone service apparently got bad all the sudden. So then I emailed him asking who do I contact about refunds and he told me to talk to the continuing education department of ACC so I went in person and turns out they have been lying about my attendance and grades because the lady at the desk said I was still enrolled in the class and that even the week before that I passed in my class so I think theyre trying to lie saying Im there and that Im passing in order to keep my money. And then when I asked the lady about the refund of who to contact she told me to talk to *************** so I guess no one even knows who takes care of the refunds in the first place. I have been trying to keep the situation as neutral as possible because I dont like confrontation but *** had enough of the disrespect from the teachers and *************** himself. All Im asking is to simply just get my $4950 back from the school because I know it may seem like spare change to companies like this but Ive been saving that money for months, and now Im barely scraping by with bills because they wont give me a return. I really appreciate your time, thank you.

    Ancora Education is contracted by *** to provide CDL training to *** students. The complainant is enrolled through ************************ (***) and is an *** student. As an *** student, the complainant is subject to the *** cancellation and refund policy. 


    The Continuing Education refund policy is available on the *** website. The policy states the following:


    The *** Continuing Education refund policy is 100% prior to the weekday before the first class day, or 100% if class is canceled by ***. After classes begin, see the table below. The number of days listed refers to business days, not class meeting days. Classes that are ONE day long must be dropped before the class starts for any type of refund to occur. The ************************** fee ($1) is not refundable.

    A timeline of the complainants attendance is below:
    1.      August 19, 2024 Complainant began class
    2.      August 29, 2024 Complainant advised **************** they would like a refund.


    Ancora Education cannot make refund decisions or determinations for ************************ or its students, and must refer the complainant to contact ************************ Continuing Education for additional information regarding the eligibility and applicability of the *** Cancellation and Refund Policy.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I actually got in touch with the person that takes care of refunds at ACC and hes helping me get my refund currently. Thank you for the help I really appreciate it.

    I took a course with this company and to say the experience was disappointing was an understatement I have yet to still feel get my certificate of certification but teacher didn't respond to contacts I would like a formal apology from this training

    Training from this company is completely inadequate the time I was given to gain the skills needed to pass my CDL test was way below the industry standard and a complete waste of my employers money

    This student was enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician training program with Ancora Training.  She utilized her Amazon Employee benefit program through Career Choice. She was in good standing and completed the program on 2/23/2024 with a passing grade. 
    All students are walked through, with live instruction, certification registration on the 2nd to last day of class. ******** was issued her completion certificate on 3/24/2023.
    Students are eligible to register and sit for their certification exam within one year of graduation date and Ancora pays for the first attempt. All other attempts are at the expense of the student. However, registration is not a requirement it is highly advised. This student did not register for the certification exam, and subsequently called an Academic Advisor on 4/17/2024 and the student was successfully walked through the registration process and chose 5/18/2024 as her testing date. She has since then accessed her account and changed her testing date 8/16/2024.  Ancora Training will resend her certification of completion by close of business on 7/19/2024.
