    “Winning” a free session and $1000 portrait is a total scam! I wish I had read these reviews before accepting my “prize.” I have emailed the company numerous times with no response.
    After sitting for our portraits, the selection and checkout process was pure chaos. I wonder if this was to distract from being overcharged $1623.75 from our quoted price.
    I did receive the printed portraits we chose; however, the quality left much to be desired. They are harsh with no retouching of blemishes and stuck up hair, which I was told would be corrected before printing.
    We also paid for digital prints, but those never arrived.
    My family spent almost $12k in portraits, and I am extremely disappointed in our experience.

    Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed, but it’s important to correct some inaccuracies.
    Your order was processed exactly as agreed upon during your in-person ordering session — no “overcharging” occurred, and all pricing was fully transparent. The portraits were produced to our studio standard; no specific retouching requests were documented on your order.
    While your first email was not answered promptly (which we regret), we have since made multiple efforts to contact you by phone and email. Unfortunately, our attempts to resolve your concerns have not been met with engagement.
    Our promotional experience is not a “scam” — many satisfied clients have used it to create treasured portraits. You did receive the products you selected and authorized.
    We remain open to a good-faith conversation to address any outstanding issues.

    We won a contest for a free photo session and 11×14 photo. We had the photo session on January 19th. The session was great. Took our pets and the photographer was very patient with them. Afterwards we were told the internet was slow so he said he would call next week and set up a time to view our pictures. Never heard anything so I called 6 times and never got a callback. Finally after over a week I talked to a manager who set us up with an appointment a week later at 5:30pm. It had now been 2 weeks since our photo session. Got there on time and the receptionist said they were running a LITTLE behind. 30 minutes later we were still not helped and heard other customers come in and get taken right back. 45 minutes later we left. 2 days later I got a call from another manager saying they wanted to make it right. Called back and was again sent to voicemail and have heard nothing since. I can't remember ever being treated so badly. We were totally ignored like we weren't important because we were just lowly contest winners. We had planned on purchasing other photos but we will never go back to this unprofessional place. Guess we weren't dressed expensively enough to be treated like human beings by them

    I wish I had read these reviews before I agreed to a sitting. I was told my dog was short listed for their pet portrait project. When the lady called to set up the appointment, I was told this was a fund raiser for the Amarillo SPCA and asked if I would mind donating $75.00 to the SPCA. I would receive a free portrait and had even been upgraded to their deluxe package. I was also told that this was for a calendar for the SPCA there in Amarillo. The charge on my card was for 80.16 and I now know that $75.00 was for a sitting fee and the rest was sales tax. I was told even though my dog might not be selected to be in the calendar, that I would receive a free calendar. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I do not appreciate being scammed.

    I’m sorry you feel mislead. It appears you read some reviews that are incorrect and may not be telling the truth about how we operate or about how this project works. We work with extreme integrity. The calendar project is not a “scam”. What was explained to you on the phone was accurate. The proceeds from the pet Calendar project will be donated to the Amarillo SPCA once the project is complete. All participants do receive a copy of the calendar regardless of if their animal is chosen to be showcased. These copies are mailed out once the calendar is complete. We are sorry you missed out on the opportunity to be involved, but we respect your decision. We apologize for any confusion that was caused by hack reviews. Your reservation deposit has been refunded to you. We will donate the amount in its place.

    This was a terrible experience. We were so excited to have our session on 6/30. We “won” a contest that included a hotel stay and a visa gift card as well as the free 11x14 hand painted portrait. I paid the $149 booking fee that I was told would be refunded. We ended up driving 2 hours because after “winning” the hotel stay didn’t apply to us and there was never a visa gift card. I expected the photos to be pricey, just not as high as they were. This was a session with myself and my 3 children. The photographer kept making comments like say hairy backs and the would say to me, oh I bet that turns you on. It was very uncomfortable, especially with my children in there! Anyways, we end up leaving only choosing the free portrait and I asked the guy showing the pictures if I would be refunded the booking fee and he said yes… still never happened. I was contacted by a member of management about the issues with the photographers comments and she offered to upgrade our portrait to the next size up for free. I accepted. I decided not to bother with the booking fee, which I didn’t mention to them, since they offered to upgrade the size of our portrait. Well, I received the picture today. It is the 11x14 and it is a regular picture, not even an attempt to look painted. This was a total waste of everybody’s time. Very high pressure to purchase more photos, they don’t follow through with what they offer, they don’t refund the booking fee, and the photographer is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional.

    We are sorry that it was a terrible experience. We work to make everyone’s experience amazing, and we are sorry that we dropped the ball with your session.
    Your session was on 06/30/2024, when we heard about your experience on 07/01/20024 we reached out to address each of these concerns.
    1. We are a family portrait studio, and our photographers should only use family friendly language in our sessions. We have addressed this with our photography team and have retrained them on using family friendly language in sessions.
    2. Your deposit should have been refunded on the day of your session. Had we known about this on 07/01/2024 we would have been happy to refund it to you then. It has been refunded to you as of today 08/22/2024.
    3. We did offer an upgraded portrait to you, and it is currently on the way to you. When we create a portrait in our upgraded finish it does take 8-12 weeks to create. We went ahead and sent your complementary portrait order to you. We are sorry for the miscommunication that you believed this was all you would be getting.
    4. We do understand that our portraits are not the right fit for every budget. We are happy to show portrait options and pricing to all our clients. While we are grateful to every client who purchases more from us, we are equally happy to process a purchased order or a complementary order just the same. We’re sorry you didn’t experience that feeling while you were here. However, to make up for our short coming in experience, we processed your complementarily order and increased it at no cost to you.
    We hope you enjoy your portrait, and we are incredibly sorry that your experience did not live up to our standard of service.

    This company is an absolute scam. My wife won a contest for a free photography session in OKC along with a free stay in a hotel. They then told her the hotel stay and session was in Amarillo, TX and they would need a 149 dollar deposit that would be refunded. She read reviews and a lot of people who “won” other contests said they were never refunded the money

    We are sorry for the miscommunication, but we are in no way a “scam”. Perhaps we can clear up some of the misunderstanding. Your wife was selected to receive a complimentary portrait session, 11x14 portrait at our studio in Amarillo, TX. In addition, we offered to give a one-night hotel stay in Amarillo. Something we often do for guests from out of town. We are not and have never had a location in OKC. We opened our family owned and operated portrait studio in 1998 in Amarillo, TX. The terms and conditions say that we will give you all the above, but we require a $149 deposit to hold your time. This deposit is refunded at the end of your appointment before you leave the studio. The terms and conditions of this session are clearly stated on our website. I’m sorry that your wife read something negative about the deposit, but we refund 100% of the session fees for clients who attend their session and claim their complimentary portrait. We refund these at the end of the appointment. We happily create amazing portraits and amazing experiences for customers all over the USA every day in our studio. We wish you the best of luck and while we are sorry, we are not the right fit for you, we hope you commemorate your marriage with a beautiful portrait from another studio. Marriage is important and worth celebrating with an amazing piece of art!

    Won a free portrait session and paid the 149.00 sitting fee to reserve. Stated it would be refunded when we showed up to take the pictures. Also stated in their email that if for any reason we had to cancel it must be a week or before or we would be charged sitting fee. Well we could not attend and called before a week out and the gentleman who answered stated they don't cancel the contest bookings. He was very rude and finally said he would but still have not received a refund.

    Won a 1000 dollar worth of portrait that came in a USPS thin envelope maybe worth 10 dollars, so funny. Our first call from them made us very excited to do the session, said all free and the portrait will arrive in our doorway in crate, just wow! It's just good that we got the proper timing not to fall on their bait!! So if you plan of using this business, good luck..

    Updating my review from 2/21/2024:
    Production reached out to me promptly after receiving my complaint. My order had been placed on hold. I received my corrected portrait and prints in record time and I am extremely pleased with the results. This is the quality that I was anticipating, and now I have a beautiful portrait to hang proudly in my living room. Thanks Davy Knapp.

    Win 1000 session. Bought 2 prints at 300. And still havnt recieved my prints. I thought the free 11x14 came with a frame. I want a refund and you can keep your digital prints that you still have!
