My lease was up on April 27, 2022. I staid paying month to month because I was in the process of buying a house. When I left the people at hunnycutt tealtor said I had to keep my utilities on until the inspection was complete. Once the inspection was complete they said that I had to keep my utilities on until the new residence moved into the apartment. They said if I turn them off before I would be billed by the company. My lease agreement was only until April 27. This is July. I went by the apartment twice after the inspection was over and the door was wide open and the ac was running full blast. The door was open o. A Thursday and I closed it and then went buy again Sunday and it was open again and the ac was wide open. I turned the utilities of and today July 11th 2022 the company is threatening me to bill me if I don't turn the utilities on

    Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/13) */ The tenant is a month to month tenant , she sent in a signed 30 day notice 6/24/2022 , her move out date is 7/24/2022 that she is responsable for . she dropped off the keys in the office drop box 6/27/2022 , we completed the move out 7/5/2022 she did not what to be at the inspection when i asked her to schedule . she left the apartment dirty , pet damage , drywall damaged ( pictures upon request ) her lease requries the apartment to be rekeyed also . I told the tenant we would clean the apartment and complete repairs and start to advertise it to see if i can get a tenant ahead of time so we can save her rent and utilities with she agreed , which we have another tenant for the 15th . saving her 9 days of rent and utilities . The tenant has e mailed me 32 times within a week i asked her to please schedule a in office appt for now a man is calling and asking questions i cant answer for he is not on the lease . we have treated her like all move outs , the vendor did say he left the door open a crack for he was in the next Apartment ( 5 plex) but he said the A/C was set at 78 as i left it . i did tell the tenant she was responable for the utilities until the end of her 30 days or until i got a lease on the Apt within her 30 days . please find the attached paperwork - thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The door was left open f9r several days. The thermostat was not set to 78. If you where not there to look at it you can't claim that. Plus it does not matter if it was opened a Crack or all the way. You where not the one responsible for the bill. FYI it was opened half way both times two diffrent days with no one in it and no work vehicle in site. There are several bad reviews on ****** from people about how your company treats people. Plus you gave me one price on what the cost would be for repairs then turned around and raised it almost another $400. I have the text. Your company does not follow through with things. Plus my toilet was ruined by the plumber when he was trying to fix it.He said that that would not come out no matter how much you scrubbed it. The snake he used did that. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/07/14) */ tenant is not being charge for the commode , and we can only give estimates at this point , once the charges are in we send the copy of the bill to the tenant . cleaning , dry wall damage , pet damage , blinds damage . we only charge for what the tenant or there pet damaged pre the lease agrement . The vendor was in the complex doing repairs . If needed he will can have the vendor send a letter .
