****************!!! MISLEADING!!If I could give them zero (0) stars, I would!!I became a member about 3 years ago. Booking my one and only vacation was EXTREMELY difficult. Once I booked it, both me and my party had to come out of pocket with more money!!. The resort that we booked in ********** through them was a dump!! Wonderful ratings and reviews on the website, but again, turned out to be a dump! Pics posted were old. Upon returning to the **, I complained to Capital Vacations and wanted to cancel. But of course was told I couldn't cancel. And couldn't stop paying for fear of messing up my credit! The only solution they offered was to invite me to an owners seminar so they could introduce me to additional features to improve my reservation experience. LIES!!! Turned out to be a set up so they could sell me an "upgrade"!!I REGRET EVER PURCHASING!!! IT'S A SCAM!

I cant wait to pay off my Capital Vacations Membership. Its a scam, and the employees are mostly actors portraying nice and caring salespeople.I should have listened to friends who were trying to warn me, but I truly thought that two people I did business with were sincere. Little did I know they could look into my eyes and lie to me, over and over, without flinching. Its been a very expensive life ******* and I couldnt be sorrier I listened at the presentation I attended, not to mention the so-called workshop which was intended to show Owners how to navigate the website. Turns out, a person named, lets say, *****, helped me save thousands of dollars; this cost me more money.Lastly, I really dont know how the folks who work at Capital Vacations can peacefully sleep at night, knowing what their deceit has done to others lives.

Not a good customer acquisition process. Didnt get to stay in their property and ***** get to see a property they own. How can you sign up with them if you dont get to experience their hospitality first hand? Nobody buys a new home without seeing the model, so why try to sell a package without showing the physical resort? I mean this is nuts. Also, I e were made to stay in a 2-star property and charged for upgrading to 2BR condo when we never asked for it. They upgraded themselves. The sales reps ***** even offered to return the payment towards the unsolicited upgrade. Overall, not a good experience.

In October 2024 we purchased a trial package from Capital. We stated at least 3X we are not big travelers but enjoy golf at ************ and ********, **. After several hours they came up with this trial package for $2,500 which we could try them out and it was good for 2 years. In March 2025 I booked our first trip and we found out that ******** was not a destination. So we went in April and went to their sales pitch then talked to the manager about our situation. HE stated that we could get our money back as this we just a trial. So he left and came back with a package for $17,000 the. Reduced to $11,000. We easily said no. Returning home, I sent out a certified letter requesting a refund for $1,995. A customer service person called me and stated we only had 3 days to cancel but she will bring this to the sales manager and the committee who looks over these requests. The sales manager called me and confirmed only 3 days to cancel after I told him the whole story about new bern and not really being world travelers including the sales manger telling us we could get our money back. He stated that there is no committee. Needless to say we will never do this again and READ all contracts there is a line in the contracts that says Purchaser should not rely upon any representations, oral or written which are not herein forth. Im guilty of not reading the contract but our heads were spinning after the sales pitch. This is a very dishonest company, staff can tell you anything for you to say yes. Its true . BUYER BEWARE!

Capital Vacations deliberately misled us with inaccurate information to manipulate us into buying more timeshare, and we are just fed up with them. We owned a timeshare that, in 2023, we were advised at a presentation could be transferred from ************ to Capital Vacations, which would help alleviate maintenance costs that were going to sharply rise under ************. This cost us over $12,500.00, but we did it at the encouragement of Capital. But then in 2024, we went to an owner training meeting in *******, where we were supposed to be trained on how to better use the website to get the most out of ownership. Instead we were dragged into more sales pitches. It was here where the *** explained that what we hadnt actually paid to transfer ownership at all! The information we were given by Capitals ***s the year before wasnt accurate. That *** told us what we had paid for was just a lousy one year trial, and to fully transfer to Capital, itd cost another $16,000.00. His supervisor confirmed this, and told us wed be on the hook for maintenance payments to BOTH Capital and Stormy Point unless we did this. These presentations were excessively confusing and complicated, and the ***s worked to make sure of that. Everywhere we turn, Capital Vacations ***s have been willing to say anything and everything to squeeze more money out of us.. Now we are no longer interested in continuing on with Capital Vacations any further. We want out and we want to share how horrible they have treated us. We feel that the rightful next step is for us to be refunded and let out of this mess.

During our first visit to ********************, we clearly stated that we already owned two Wyndham Timeshares but were unhappy with the maintenance fees. At that point, they offered us a deal to exchange our Wyndham timeshares for a one-week stay every other year in a four-bedroom house with significantly lower maintenance fees. We were also informed that if we did not travel to ********************, we could even use Summerwinds' vacation options for a $399-$999 week in a four-bedroom condominium instead of utilizing our own week. As a result, Capital took our deed and placed it in a trust, claiming that it was worthless to us. This has left us feeling deceived and burdened by a time-sharing agreement that we no longer wish to continue. Just days after we signed the contract. We were told that the new company operated on a point system like ******* and that we needed to pay to switch to this system. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction with point systems, we were assured we could maintain the original structure of our agreement. But during my next visit without my husband, I was pressured into agreeing to the point system with the promise it would save us money later, even though we had previously stated our preference to avoid it. It is important to note that our share with Capital has been paid off completely. We believe there must be some kind of deed back or buyback program that Capital offers for paid off properties like ours. We expect to be released from all financial obligations associated with this contract. It is ridiculous to think we would be roped into and endless gauntlet of maintenance fees they need to take this inventory back!

Do not think that more is better with Capital Vacations we have been conned 4 times, each time worst than the last. During our visit to ***********, we attended yet another meeting with a representative of Capital Vacations, who informed us that we had three separate contracts, each with separate maintenance fees that would be increasing. We believed each new contract had consolidated the previous ones. The salesperson advised us to place the contract in my Husbands name only, stating it would act as an "insurance policy. If **** passed, the loan would be canceled and neither my estate nor I would be responsible for the balance, Instead, they would only need to pay the maintenance fees to retain use of the property. This turned out to be untrue. By the end of this blatant misrepresentation, we had signed a contract for ******* more points with an $812 monthly mortgage payment and a $594 maintenance fee, all based on false information. At every so-called update, we were misled or outright lied to just to make another sale. Our advancing age and health challenges mean we will not be able to travel often enough to make this timeshare remotely worthwhile. Our current financial situation cannot support the overwhelming cost of these contracts, and the emotional toll is more than we can bear. At this point, we are demanding to be released from all contracts and obligations associated with Capital Vacations. Unless you want to end up investing in a Lawyer, do not invest in Capital Vacations.Stay away from this timeshare company,,

My wife and I have been capital Vacations club owners for two years now. I suggest to any new owner to stay in contact with your rep for any immediate questions and attend your New Owner Work Shop to learn how to best utilize your ownership! Once my wife and I learned how to best navigate the website and which program is best for short stays, long stays, hotels or resorts..its been a breeze. *word of advice don't bite off more than you can chew at first, start a little less than you need and learn how to use it! Worst decision we ever made. What started as a free vacation turned into a financial nightmare that cost us over $10,500 with virtually nothing to show for it. We were promised a 90-minute presentation, but instead endured high-pressure sales tactics where we were fed lie after lie: "Your points will increase in value," "You'll easily cover six weeks of vacations," "Points never expire," "You can rent it out for profit," and "You can visit ****** resorts." ALL FALSE.Reality? Our points barely cover ONE week and expire every two years. Availability is virtually non-existent unless you book ridiculously far in advance, and even then, p***are to settle for less desirable options. The hidden fees are outrageous. Maintenance fees started at $1,100 in 2023 and jumped to nearly $1,500 by 2025. We were told we'd only pay in odd years yet suddenly got hit with a $923 "special assessment" in 2024.They didn't disclose we'd need separate memberships with Silver Lake Travel Rewards AND *** just to book anything. The one vacation we managed required paying additional cash ON TOP of using our points! Our sales *** neglected to mention we were signing at a predatory 16.9% interest rate while we were in Chapter 13 bankruptcy. They assured us we could "refinance anywhere" - another blatant lie as banks don't refinance timeshares. The manipulation continued with their "owner update" in Pigeon Forge that was actually another aggressive sales pitch. When we declined, the *** threatened us with increasing maintenance fees. The most despicable part? They pitched this as a "legacy" for our children without mentioning they'd inherit these crushing biannual ********* yourself the heartache and financial strain. ********************************** uses deception and false promises to lock you into a contract that benefits only them. This "investment" has been nothing but a burden we're desperately trying to escape.

After being lied to about my timeshare and then be pressured into a conversion to Capital three years ago (April 2022), I recently received correspondence to sign a warranty deed (stated that no notary needed....) that was never signed, but somehow found in an audit. It also stated that if I didn't do it, the property would just be given back to me. After going through my contract, I reached out to their quality assurance line who absolutely refused to give me a straight answer about canceling my contract with them and getting my money back. I was either put on hold, sent to a different department, mislead, or was offered their graceful exit plan where you can just end your contract and not owe anything. No one would answer the simple question, if I cancelled my account, would I get all my money back. To top it off, I just received a generic email back from over a week ago from someone that said I could email her with any questions regarding the deed that was sent to me. She just told me to call quality assurance again. Completely shady dealings with EVERYONE. The problem is that my timeshare was never converted and it was never officially Capital's property. One of their **** told me my conversion was in suspension...they acknowledged it was not complete. I sent my cancellation request with supporting documentation and I have not heard a thing yet nor has my account been cancelled. Contract terms state that I can cancel up until the date I receive the completed paperwork which has never happened, and in addition, if the transaction doesn't close within a year, I automatically would get my timeshare back and any money that was paid. Contract also says that upon receipt of the cancellation request, it would be officially cancelled as of that date and I would receive a check. Instead, I have received numerous phone calls from random predatory credit companies offering a way to get me out of my time *********** action will be taken next.
