I had rented an apartment from a property from this company and they were completely so rude to me. *********************** in the receivables department hung up on me 4 times after trying to explain the right documents werent handed out during move in. Do not live on any of their properties because once you dont renew your lease, youre garbage to them. I am 20 y/o and she treated me like I was 8 getting in trouble for spilling something. Once I told her that she wasnt treating me professionally, she hung up because I wasnt getting my way, They take advantage of young adults in college fixing their own properties mistakes and not taking account for the damages they missed the last lease. I was treated very poorly and promise I will never recommend living at any of these properties. The hidden fees are ridiculous, and they are only happy when they have your money. I cannot stress how much I would like to warn people to NOT live here to be treated so poorly during move out when I have had a lease signed for 3 years.

I live at a property and it is absolutely horrible!!! When I moved into the apartment complex it had one name its been changed twice since Ive moved here. The staff is incompetent at best. Maintenance and does your apartment without your consent even when you have specifically requested for them not to come in at all they also never take their shoes off so they track dirt throughout your home being that we have light colored carpet. This is completely unacceptable. I have experienced 20+ fire alarms a year screaming animals and unsanitary common areas. Also, there is an extreme laugh of safety residents touch your clothes in the laundry room. The overall feeling is disrespect, violation and boundary. Crossing the residents and staff are inconsiderate. This is by far and away the worst place I have ever lived. My college dorm, rooms, and the tents I stayed in on my team tours were better living conditions than this complex. All care about is money, this is the only greystar community Ive ever lived in, and it will be the last!

Disgusting property. Roaches and bedbugs. Inefficient pest control. Staff is rude, their phones are on silent so they never answer. Maintenance does shoddy work and you will have to request repairs multiple times. They revamp the office and property but fail to keep up the apartments. Trying to move out? They sabotage your efforts due to their negligence with pest control and maintenance issues. **************************************************

The worst lease experience I've ever had... bait and switch, and lease information was completely wrong.

I applied for a unit that requested application fee AS WELL as a "holding fee" paid in full $553, got rejected because of xyz but still haven't received my deposit back. I was told several times it takes up to 21 days for return but it's been over a month. I try to call the apartments I applied for and all they tell me is "can I give you a call back?" AND they never call or answer the phone next day. As a low income person, I do not have $500 to toss away. I still need to apply for more apartments and can't do so because of limited income.

Greystar bought Club Palisades in ***********, **. They renamed it ***************. They own Ethos in ****, ** and many others in the Seattle/Tacoma area. They even owned my apartment down in ********** called **************, which later surprised me the difference in management. If you check the reviews of these properties, and many others, they are possibly slumlords. They are into collecting rent and servicing a lot of low-income housing. They hire call centers and answering services to answer calls that should terminate in their property offices. They refuse to respond. And ignore all reviews of their properties. My personal experience had to do with a new lease at Avana Square Lake, back in 2021, and on move-in day, my unit was squatted and barricaded. This means that between the day I applied 3 weeks prior, and move-in, nobody had entered or done an inspection. I was offered one of 3 other units, of which all had damage, including a ceiling collapse. I then was told to wait a few days to be contacted. I was in a hotel for a week. ***** kept my deposit and application fees, of which both rightly should have been returned due to their errors. But neither Avana nor Greystar returned numerous calls or emails. If a property has less than 4 stars, read the reviews first, and respect the reviews. Greystar has many properties at 2 stars or less. I don't think they own ************** anymore which seemingly has over 4 stars. Interesting.Anyway, renter beware. They stole my money.

My prior years at Wakefield glen have been great until Britney Mangum became an employee at the property. She uses the community as her personal playground for riding the company golf cart around during non-business hours while she is under the influence and has her young daughter with her. She also threatens every non-black resident at the pool that she is going to call the police on them …. And they are simply minding their own business. She snooped through residents belongings at the pool yelling about how she can “look for whatever the fuck she wants to “ because alcohol isn’t allowed at the pool .. meanwhile when residents in the clubhouse to use the restroom her work desk was covered in open alcohol containers . She drives her golf cart around without looking at the road because she is too busy texting and almost hit an adult , child and 2 dogs . She couldn’t be bothered to help with a chemical that maintenance had spilled all over my car because she was “closing the office to be busy with a tour and to call the office”. I had already. Called the office 8 times that day and got no answer. Britney is nothing but racism and rude and uses her job as her personal playground to ruin the residents experience .

Just received a move out bill for a Greystar owned apartment I rented well over a year ago, I no longer even live in the same state. Was never given an amount at move out. Was never sent a single bill in the mail or in email. Was never contacted by anyone until now. No evidence this bill was ever issued until today, a Saturday conveniently enough. Tempted to **** This company is an actual scam. Stay away.

These guys are a big ripoff. A friend passed away end of april this year and they are trying to charge for rent AFTER he passed away. All rent and late fees were paid just before he died. Trying to charge $300 for painting which is part of what they decide to do. My friend was 82, lived there 13 years so anything they felt they had to do was " normal wear and tear". Apartment was in good shape when he died except for the mold, which is prominent in most of these apartments. $200 charge for filling very small nail holes used to hang pictures. Trying to charge late fees that had already been paid. This company is nation wide so we can't fight them.. Even when apartments are spotless when tenants leave, they are charged a cleaning fee .. This place is crooked and needs to be shut down.
